‘Looksmaxxing’ Influencer Clavicular Walks Out of ’60 Minutes’ Interview After Being Asked if He’s an Incel: ‘The Worst Sequence of Questions’

Braden Peters, better known by his “looskmaxxing” persona Clavicular, walked off his interview with “60 Minutes Australia” correspondent Adam Hegarty after he was asked if he identifies with the incel community.

“Do I identify as an incel?” Peters said. “I mean, how could you ask me that question as a follow-up after you asked me about my relationships to women. I mean, that’s quite literally the worst sequence of questions I think I’ve ever heard.”

Hegarty pressed on, “Let me rephrase then. Looksmaxxing was obviously a term created by the incel community. How do you feel about being linked to that group?”

The "looksmaxxing" influencer suggested the '60 Minutes Australia' reporter was a cuckold and left following a cringe exchange.

Clavicular went on 60 Minutes Australia and apparently wasn’t expecting a few mildly tough questions.

The “looksmaxxing” influencer, aka Braden Peters, is going viral for something other than hitting his jaw with a hammer after he walked out of an interview with the news program.

The controversial 20-year-old streamer, who is known for advocating a self-obsession with physical attractiveness, was asked by correspondent Adam Hegarty if he identifies as an incel.

“I mean, how could you ask me that question as a follow-up after you asked me about my relationships to women?” he frostily replied (video below). “I mean, that’s quite literally the worst sequence of questions I think I’ve ever heard.”

When world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka popped on a pair of Gucci sunglasses for her post-match press conference and joked that she couldn’t speak because her mind was on shopping, the impact of influencer culture on the Australian Open was evident.

The tournament and the sport of tennis itself has become increasingly commercialised over the years, and the top players are not immune to the pressure to shill for their supper.

Sabalenka uses both traditional media appearances and her own social media presence with 4.2 million followers to help promote her many partnerships.

After a record number of people streamed through Melbourne Park's gates for the first day of the Australian Open this year, Tennis Australia boss Craig Tiley said: "Cricket's in December. Our objective is we want to own January."

Part of that strategy is to make the tournament about more than just tennis. Over the three weeks — including qualifying week and main draw — the sporting precinct becomes a behemoth of brand activations, activities and entertainment.

There's also the slew of influencers who descend on the tournament and post relentlessly across social media. Many get invited to premier experiences and seating by brands in exchange for content to their followers, which can range from a few thousand to millions.

At the bar floating on the Yarra River where Novak Djokovic and Eva Lys have been spotted in the past couple of weeks, the sun is shining and the drinks are flowing.

“We’re selling cocktails by the carafe and champagne by the bottle,” says Tom Byrne, head of operations at HQ Group that runs Afloat, Arbory and Her Bar, three current inner-Melbourne spots that are running hot during the Australian Open tennis tournament.

Counter protests turn tense in downtown Minneapolis

The situation in Minneapolis was tense after anti-Muslim and pro-ICE protesters clashed with counterprotesters downtown on Saturday.

The protest began at Minneapolis City Hall, and initially planned to march to the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood, which has a large Somali population.

At around 1:40 p.m., Minneapolis police were seen initiating crowd control and calling for demonstrators to get off the street.

Some counter-protestors, however, were seen marching down the street and later entered the sidewalks.

Police told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that no arrests have been made at this time.

Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story review – shall we all vow not to watch true-crime this twisted in 2026?

This terrifying documentary about the Utah life coach convicted of extreme child abuse feels supremely grubby. How about a new year’s resolution not to watch – or make – anything this grim ever again?

We are always aware, I think, of man’s inhumanity to man. The latest true-crime documentary from Netflix is here to remind you that this is an umbrella term. It is undoubtedly rarer, though precisely why is unclear, but women can inflict the most awful suffering too – and here, a pair of them do so on children.

Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story is the latest offering from Skye Borgman, who is the undisputed queen of the genre, specialising in high-end takes on the most extreme, the most only-in-America stories of depravity you could (not) hope to find. She made her name with 2017’s Abducted in Plain Sight, about the case of Jan Broberg, who was kidnapped not once but twice by Robert Berchtold, a close friend of the Brobergs and a sexual predator who effectively groomed the whole, spectacularly naive family. The Girl in the Picture, five years later, tells the story of a young woman known as Sharon Marshall, found after her death in a suspicious hit-and-run accident to have been living under multiple aliases as the kidnap and rape victim of a fugitive on the run from the FBI for decades. I Just Killed My Dad completed an unholy trinity of films from Borgman, with an examination of why 17-year-old Anthony Templet shot dead his apparently loving father and waited calmly outside for the police to arrest him. Spoiler alert: Templet’s father was nothing like the man he seemed.

Was Ruby Franke brainwashed?! New Netflix doc director dissects Jodi Hildebrandt's tactics

Vlogging and life coaching were lucrative businesses for Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt. The Utah women were admired, in demand and making a lot of money. But, it all unraveled when Ruby’s son showed up at a neighbor’s house asking them to call the police. He was emaciated and had tape on his wrists and ankles.

What investigators discovered was dark and twisted, and a stark contrast from the front the boy’s mom and her business partner portrayed online.

A new documentary on Netflix, Evil Influencer, delves into the story of Jodi Hildebrandt. In an interview with Investigative Reporter @AnneTEmerson, the director of the documentary, Skye Borgman, discusses Jodi’s past, her career as a therapist, her clients, the Church of Latter-Day Saints, and her psyche. Is it possible Jodi brainwashed Ruby?
