Inside Levi's Stadium: Cost, capacity, age and more to know about site of 2026 Super Bowl

In 2016, Levi’s Stadium hosted its first-ever Super Bowl— finale that saw defensive dominance carry a legend into the sunset as Peyton Manning hoisted the Lombardi Trophy one last time. A decade later, the "Big Game" returns to Santa Clara, but the storyline has shifted from a veteran's farewell to the arrival of the new guard.

Super Bowl 60 brings a fascinating full-circle moment for New England’s Drake Maye. Ten years ago, he was a young fan in the stands pulling for his childhood Carolina Panthers; this time, he takes the field as the face of the Patriots, seeking redemption on the same turf where his team once fell short. Across the sideline stands Sam Darnold, the veteran resurgence leading a Seattle Seahawks squad hungry for their own historical pivot.

Hill: Enjoy the Super Bowl, San Francisco. It should be your last

The Super Bowl’s footprint has grown so large in the Bay Area that some of the uniqueness of the game week has been lost.

Those responsible for putting on Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium might want to take an extra moment to soak in the pageantry.

Because it should probably be the last Super Bowl the Bay Area hosts.

This has nothing to do with San Francisco, which remains an amazing city. While there are a great deal of homeless people and an obvious opioid issue, tales that the area has turned into a dystopian battlefield proved hyperbolic.

Editor's note: Track live Super Bowl updates, scores and highlights with our game blog.

The 60th edition of the biggest spectacle in sports takes place on Sunday, Feb. 8, as the Super Bowl returns to the Bay Area.

Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, is the site of Super Bowl 60 between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, two teams that were hardly on anyone's radar to start the season.

The Patriots are in the game for the 12th time, extending their league record, and are looking for their seventh Super Bowl title. New England last hoisted the Lombardi trophy with a 13-3 triumph over the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 53, the lowest-scoring Super Bowl in NFL history.

Inside Patrick Dempsey's 'nightmare' first marriage to late wife with 26-year age gap

Patrick Dempsey has had numerous love interests on screen, but there's only one leading lady in his real life today: his wife Jillian, whom he married in 1999. However, years before he met the mother of his three children, the Grey's Anatomy actor was married to someone else. With an age gap of 26 years, their relationship made waves in Hollywood — and that wasn't the only reason why.

Patrick was just 18 years old when he met actress Rochelle Parker, who was also an acting coach and manager.

At the time, Patrick was transitioning from stage acting to film. He was not yet a household name, but it wouldn't be long before he landed his breakout role.

Meet Jillian Dempsey, Wife Of Patrick Dempsey, Married For 27 Years, Almost Got Divorced

Patrick Dempsey has been ruling hearts and screens since the 90s. He is attractive, gorgeous, charismatic and has a huge fan base. His character in Grey’s Anatomy is widely popular and acclaimed.

Patrick is an American actor and race car driver, who goes by the moniker McDeamy ever since he was cast in the role of a doctor in Grey’s Anatomy. He is a motorsports and sports car enthusiast and often claims that he would leave acting if he could pursue motorsports full-time.

Patrick was born on January 13, 1966, in Lewiston, Maine, in a modest household. His parents were simple people, and Dempsey had a troubled childhood. His mother worked as a school secretary, and his father was an insurance salesman and carpenter. Patrick is the youngest of his three siblings, and despite his battle with dyslexia as a child, he is a household name today.

Patrick Dempsey Gushes Over Wife Jillian After Couple Nearly Got Divorced in 2015: Watch

During the Thursday, January 29, episode of TODAY With Jenna & Sheinelle, the actor, 60, praised his “amazing” wife, 11 years after the stars almost split.

In January 2015, Jillian filed for divorce, but after a year of couples therapy, they ultimately did not separate. Now, Patrick has nothing but positive words for his woman, whom he has been married to for 27 years.

He recalled Jillian surprising him the night before his 60th birthday on January 13 while he was working.

“I have an amazing wife. She’s an amazing woman. She has a great career. She’s a great mom,” said the Grey’s Anatomystar, who shares children Talula, 23, Darby, 18, and Sullivan, 18, with the makeup artist.

Just eight years prior to winning Olympic gold as an aerial skier at Salt Lake City in 2002, Alisa Camplin-Warner was watching on TV the Winter Games of 1994 when it dawned on her that a career on the slopes could be an option.

Until that point, the recently graduated Melbourne schoolgirl, 19 at the time, had never skied.

'It's going to damage a lot of people': Former AIS athletes demand Channel 9 pull documentary

Former AIS athletes are concerned the documentary could overlook the darker aspects of the institute's history. (AAP Photos: Lukas Coch)

Former Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) athletes have raised concerns about the Australian Sports Commission's handling of a documentary it says may trigger former AIS attendees.

The documentary, called Forging Champions, was commissioned by the Australian Sports Commission to air on Channel 9 this coming Monday.

It covers the 40-year history of the AIS, featuring interviews with some of Australia's biggest sports stars from the past four decades.

But former athletes who claim they were physically and psychologically abused during their time at the institute claim the documentary could potentially trigger some people, leading to harm if it presents a rosy image of the institute.

‘A very Italian problem’: inside the fight against the mafia and corruption at the Winter Olympics

Construction works for Milano Cortina have been a lightning rod for suspected infiltration by organised crime, but anti-mafia groups have adopted an approach that will help future hosts

Early on the morning of 8 October, the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri in Belluno put out a press release announcing three arrests, in the culmination of a year-long investigation they called “Operation Reset”. Two of the three were brothers; both were known members of the notorious Lazio Ultras, the Irriducibili, it was stated in the release, and had boasted of having personal ties to former boss Fabrizio Piscitelli, who was murdered in 2019. The crimes the brothers had been arrested on suspicion of had not been committed in Rome, but 400 miles north, in the small alpine ski resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo, high in the Dolomites, and home, for the next three weeks, to the Winter Olympics.

Pope Leo urges Olympic athletes to foster respect, team spirit, sacrifice

Olympic athletes, volunteers, and sporting associations attended Mass in the northern Italian city of Como on Friday, as they prepared for the 2026 Milano Cortina Games.

The XXV Winter Olympic Games kick off next week and run from February 6 to 22 at sites across Lombardy and Northeast Italy.

Pope Leo XIV sent a telegram signed by Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin to Cardinal Oscar Cantoni, Bishop of Como, which was read at Mass on Friday.

The Pope sent his “cordial and best-wishing greeting” to the people of the Vicariate of Bormio and everyone involved in preparing the Milano Cortina Olympics.

He expressed his appreciation for the ancient sporting event that gathers professional and amateur athletes from across the globe every four years to compete in numerous sports.

Vatican's 'Sports Cross' arrives in Archdiocese of Milan ahead of Olympics

The Vatican “Sports Cross” arrived at the Basilica of San Babila in Milan on Thursday evening, one week ahead of the opening of the Feb. 6–22 Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, Italy.

Since 2012, the Vatican has entrusted the wooden cross designed and created by British artist Jon Cornwall to dioceses hosting the Summer and Winter Olympics.

“It’s an important gesture,” Bishop Paul Tighe, secretary of the Vatican Dicastery for Culture and Education, told EWTN News reporter Paola Arriaza Flynn. “It’s saying something about the Church’s interest and involvement with the world of sport.”

“We want to celebrate the human spirit that expresses itself in so many ways, including in forms of faith,” he added.

Dorothy St. Pictures Leader Discusses Courtney Love, Pamela Anderson Documentaries

Julia Nottingham, founder of Dorothy St. Pictures, recently discussed her approach to creating compelling documentaries. Her focus has been on high-profile women who have lived in the public eye. Among her noteworthy projects is the documentary series featuring Pamela Anderson, entitled “Pamela, A Love Story.” Directed by Ryan White, this film provides an intimate look at Anderson’s 50-year journey in the spotlight. Released on Netflix in 2023, it garnered critical acclaim.

Following the success of Pamela Anderson’s documentary, Nottingham and her team produced “Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story.” This Disney+ series chronicles the life of the footballer’s wife, which led to massive media attention. In 2025, Carson Beckham’s story will be featured as the next Netflix series, showcasing her transition from Spice Girl to a successful fashion designer.

It began with a cold call email pitch to Pamela Anderson’s publicist.

Julia Nottingham — the founder of Dorothy St. Pictures — claims she’ll never “spill” her secrets about what exactly was written, but admits a huge amount of care and attention went into the message. “We really poured over exactly what we should say and how to get their attention,” she says.

“Pamela, A Love Story,” directed by Ryan White with Nottingham exec producing for Dorothy St, saw the former “Baywatch” star take viewers on a deeply personal and extensively archived tour of her 50+ years, recounting the highs and lows of a life spent in the public eye with a disarming frankness. It launched in 2023 on Netflix to critical acclaim.

Some six years before the most storied of Boxing Day Test debuts, when he razed India with 5-47 and a wicket in his first over in 1999, Lee first rose to prominence in Australian cricket circles – once he landed a ball on the pitch.

Inside Venus Williams and Andrea Preti’s Five-Day Wedding at Home in Palm Beach

Tennis legend Venus Williams and actor, producer, and model Andrea Preti first met in 2024 during Milan Fashion Week—at an event neither was originally supposed to attend. “We met at the Gucci show,” Venus remembers. “I was in Lake Como on a sisters’ trip when I got an invite at the last minute and decided to go on a whim, and Andrea was tired. Neither of us was planning on being there.”

After the show, the brand’s former creative director Sabato De Sarno arranged an aperitivo with a group of VIPs upstairs at the venue. “I saw V and wanted to introduce myself,” says Andrea. “She was on the sofa with her friends and family. I told her, ‘You’re so beautiful,’ and then she started speaking with me in Italian. We had a little talk, and I asked if she wanted a drink. I went to the bar to get something, and her sister Lyn came to me and said, ‘Do you mind if we start a WhatsApp conversation? I think my sister likes you.’”

Venus Williams marries model partner Andrea Preti in five-day Palm Beach wedding

Venus Williams married her partner, Andrea Preti, for a second time over the weekend, months after they first tied the knot in Italy.

This time, the seven-time Grand Slam singles champion and her model partner celebrated across five days in Palm Beach, Florida, with their loved ones in attendance.

Venus, 45, and Andrea, 37, had always wanted to wed in Italy but were not legally able to sign the paperwork there, so instead, they thought a second event was necessary.

The couple's Italian ceremony took place on September 18, before the legal proceedings – and week-long celebrations – continued in December.

Five days before their December 21 wedding, the pair were treated to a yacht party by the bride's sister, fellow tennis legend Serena Williams.

'Disgusting' video from inside cruise ship sparks heated debate online: 'This looks terrible'

A video meant to highlight the size of a cruise ship instead led Redditors to debate the merit and environmental consequences of such vessels.

The video shows the outside of one deck on the Arvia, a ship used by P&O Cruises. The video posted to Reddit was sped up by 400% and was still nearly 2 minutes long. And even in that time, the cruiser still didn't complete a full lap around the ship, showing just how massive it is.

In climate-conscious social circles, cruise ships are always a hot topic for public debate. To many people, these massive sea vessels are the epitome of excess and waste, with little regard for environmental resources or pollution.

Yet another issue that arises with cruise ships is the immediate impact on the land and water where they operate.

In a post to r/DamnThatsInteresting, one Reddit user shared a video of an enormous cruise ship disturbingly close to the shore with beachgoers mere feet away.

A recent video showcasing the enormous size of the P&O Cruises ship, Arvia, has ignited a heated debate among Reddit users, prompting discussions not just about the ship itself, but also about the broader implications of cruise tourism on the environment. The footage, which was sped up by 400% yet still lasted nearly two minutes, illustrated the vastness of the ship, with the camera only managing to capture one deck. The Arvia, measuring over 1,130 feet and weighing more than 200,000 tons, has a capacity for approximately 5,200 passengers and 1,800 crew members.

A Man on the Inside season two review – Ted Danson’s despicably bland show is everything wrong with TV

Only our current tech hellscape could create a comedy so insidiously inoffensive. Prepare to be pummelled into submission as your time is siphoned off by OK entertainment

This is a cosy, lighthearted whodunnit about a retired professor who gets a second wind as a private eye. It’s also a bingo card for just about everything that makes streamer-era TV so patronising, uninspiring and mind-numbingly dull.

On the surface, A Man on the Inside’s crimes might seem negligible: it’s a little schmaltzy, a little too pleased with itself in that wisecrack-stuffed American comedy way. Yet it’s exactly that inoffensiveness that makes this strain of television so insidious. When the New York Times critic James Poniewozik coined the term “mid TV” to describe the current “profusion of well-cast, sleekly produced competence” that has come to dominate our screens, it wasn’t so much a vicious takedown as a shrug at the blah-ness of it all. The tech giants have pummelled us into submission by siphoning off our time via OK entertainment.

Ted Danson on falling 'madly' in love with his Netflix costar, curbing divorce rumors

LOS ANGELES − Ted Danson’s wannabe private eye Charles Nieuwendyk breaks a professional golden rule in Season 2 of Netflix’s “A Man on the Inside” (streaming Nov. 20) by dating the main suspect in his new case.

But it’s hard to blame Charles for the criminal misstep, because Wheeler College professor Mona Margadoff − who just might be the blackmailer at the heart of the academia mystery − is played by Mary Steenburgen, Danson’s wife of 30 years. Two-time Emmy winner Danson, 77, didn’t have to dig deep for the love vibes.

"Charles is smitten, and I was too," Danson tells USA TODAY. "It's so much fun to play falling in love with someone you're madly in love with. You just sink into each other, which is lovely."
