Anthropic's Mythos isn't threatening bitcoin. The real AI risk is at crypto exchanges

There's a saying in crypto: not your keys, not your coins. It's typically a warning that it's safer to keep your crypto in an offline wallet that's harder to attack than an online exchange where you don't have control over the keys to the wallet housing the funds.

So far, however, the complexity of learning how to self-secure and custody crypto has been prohibitive to many prospective crypto investors, which has allowed exchanges like Coinbase and Gemini Space Station – two of the earliest in the game – to thrive.

But with money now being more digital than ever and AI getting stronger, that narrative may be flipping. AI like Anthropic's Mythos, which is built to find software vulnerabilities at extreme speed with unprecedented accuracy, could help usher a new wave of attacks on companies built on and around crypto – an industry already working to overcome a years-long reputation of hacks, scams, and exploits.

Project Glasswing: Securing critical software for the AI era

We formed Project Glasswing because of capabilities we’ve observed in a new frontier model trained by Anthropic that we believe could reshape cybersecurity. Claude Mythos2 Preview is a general-purpose, unreleased frontier model that reveals a stark fact: AI models have reached a level of coding capability where they can surpass all but the most skilled humans at finding and exploiting software vulnerabilities.

Mythos Preview has already found thousands of high-severity vulnerabilities, including some in every major operating system and web browser. Given the rate of AI progress, it will not be long before such capabilities proliferate, potentially beyond actors who are committed to deploying them safely. The fallout—for economies, public safety, and national security—could be severe. Project Glasswing is an urgent attempt to put these capabilities to work for defensive purposes.

Why High Potential Isn't Airing New Episodes On ABC For A While, And When It'll Return

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission.

It feels like High Potential fans were just clamoring for the show’s return due to its extended midseason break, and we’re already going back into that mindset so soon into the 2026 TV schedule. Kaitlin Olson’s brainy LAPD consultant Morgan sadly won’t be foiling any clever criminals’ plots this week, and we’ll indeed be waiting a bit longer than one might expect before we see her, Karadec and the rest of the squad back in action.

We last saw High Potential’s two leads playing up their “Will they?, Won’t they?” potential work romance, with Karadec looking very longingly at his partner, despite already having what should be a rekindled romance with Susan Kelechi Watson’s Lucia. So I can only hope that other viewers are happy to continue theorizing about where things will go next, since it’ll be a couple of ticks before we see them again.

Harrison Ford, 83, ‘Isn’t Giving Up’ Acting, Believes Formal Retirement Is ‘a Death Sentence’ (Exclusive)

Harrison Ford’s 2026 to-do list doesn’t include retiring from Hollywood, says a source.

The legendary actor, 83, next appears in Season 3 of Shrinking — set to be released on Wednesday, January 28 — and hinted in an emotional Instagram video posted by Apple TV that he hopes to continue making the hit comedy-drama series in the future.

“Harrison isn’t giving up on working at all,” the source tells the National Enquirer. “As usual, he has multiple big projects brewing, even as he continues to remain committed to Shrinking.”

With an estimated net worth of $300 million, the star of blockbuster franchises like Indiana Jones, Star Wars and Blade Runner could seemingly afford to step away from the spotlight, but “he sees formal retirement as a death sentence,” explains the source. “Harrison truly believes it would be bad for his health to give up his film and TV career, especially when he still finds inspiration in a lot of the work that he does.”

Confirmed: ‘Indiana Jones’ Star Harrison Ford Isn’t Retiring After All

For years, fans have wondered when Harrison Ford might finally step away from Hollywood. After more than five decades on screen, countless iconic roles, and a career that helped define modern blockbuster filmmaking, the question has hovered every time Ford spoke about aging, legacy, or slowing down. Now, at 83, the answer is clearer than ever: retirement isn’t happening.

Despite occasional comments over the years that hinted at easing back, Ford has made it known that formally retiring from acting is not something he believes in. Those close to him say he views retirement not as rest, but as something that would ultimately work against him—both creatively and personally. In his mind, staying active and engaged is essential.

Harrison Ford Shuts Down Retirement Talk After Failed ‘Indiana Jones’ Film

For decades, Harrison Ford has been synonymous with some of the most iconic characters in film history. From space smugglers to reluctant heroes, his career has spanned generations. So when Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023) arrived as the final chapter for his legendary archaeologist, it reignited a familiar question among fans: was this the end of Harrison Ford’s time on screen altogether?

While Dial of Destiny marked a definitive farewell to Indiana Jones, Ford has pushed back strongly on the idea that he’s preparing to retire from acting. At 83, he has openly said that stepping away completely isn’t something he believes in, especially while he still enjoys the work and feels challenged by new roles.

'Stranger Things' finale – What we know about a spinoff series

Even with the end of "Stranger Things" in sight, Netflix is keeping the door open three inches for more.

The Netflix phenomenon is about to come to an end, with its highly anticipated series finale hitting the streamer on New Year's Eve. But while the final episode will wrap the mainline show, it won't be the last fans see of the "Stranger Things" world.

The series' universe has already expanded into games, books and even a Broadway play, and at least two separate spinoff shows are on the way.

The one we know the most about is "Stranger Things: Tales from '85," an animated series set to premiere in 2026. The show takes place in between the events of Season 2 and Season 3 and will feature the return of main characters from the original series, including Eleven, Max, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will and Hopper. New actors will step in to voice the roles.

Stranger Things is getting a brand new spin-off – everything you need to know

We may be gearing up for the final episode of Stranger Things, but we're not leaving Hawkins just yet, as a new animated spin-off series, Stranger Things: Tales From '85, has been announced by Netflix.

The news came weeks before Volume 1 of Stranger Things 5 dropped on November 26, with showrunner Eric Robles and Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer behind the project.

An announcement video was posted last month, giving fans a glimpse into what the animations will look like and the creative process behind the series.

Tales From 85' is set in the town of Hawkins in the winter of 1985, specifically "in the Stranger Things universe between Seasons 2 and 3", and so that it will include "characters fans already know and love," but the synopsis noted there's a "twist."
