    Live: Guard of honour formed for Jai Arrow in special NRL moment

    The reigning NRL premiers are on the verge of a sixth-straight loss, conceding five first half tries to trail 30-0 against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

    Jai Arrow has been honoured at Stadium Australia before the match as both sets of players formed a guard of honour, after he was forced to retire from rugby league following his motor neurone disease (MND) diagnosis.

    The Rabbitohs are wearing a special white jersey for the occasion.

    ‘Hardly a dry eye’ as Arrow honoured by former clubs

    Jai Arrow has been honoured by two of his former clubs, South Sydney and Brisbane, in an emotional pre-game tribute on Thursday night.

    After announcing his medical retirement and motor neurone disease diagnosis last month, the 30-year-old was a special guest at Accor Stadium.

    Both teams wore special jerseys – the Rabbitohs in a fully white strip with his name on the back and the Broncos also donning his name and number.

    The rival teams walked out together, led by captains Adam Reynolds and Cody Walker, who are both close mates of Arrow from their time together at Redfern.
