While customers flying on Qantas-operated flights, Qantas codeshare flights operated by Jetstar, and Jetstar domestic flights will still have access to lounges with their complimentary invitations “where available”, travellers on Jetstar international flights are now locked out.

Jetstar has announced the first Christchurch-Perth direct service, with flights starting later this year.
Christchurch Airport and Jetstar said the non-stop service would add more than 30,000 seats next summer.
The new route will initially run from October 27 to March next year, flying three times a week.
Flights from
Perth will take about six hours and 10 minutes, and those from Christchurch about seven hours and 15 minutes.
Christchurch Airport said the service could make Perth a good option for people wanting to fly on directly to Bali, Delhi, Johannesburg, London, Paris or Rome with Jetstar’s stablemate Qantas.
Brand new international flights between Western Australia and New Zealand's South Island are set to take off from October this year. This will mark the first time that Jetstar has served this route, and it will reconnect Perth to Christchurch after Air New Zealand shelved its seasonal service between the two cities in 2019.
Jetstar announced its intentions to serve Christchurch from Perth on March 2, with the airline planning to deploy its Airbus A321LR on the route seasonally between October and March (the Southern Hemisphere summer season), with capacity to seat up to 232 passengers in an all-economy class layout.
Jetstar will add 30,000 seats from October 27 through to March 27, with its new South Island service departing from Perth and Christchurch on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The Perth to Christchurch service will take six hours, ten minutes gate to gate, while the return flight will amount to seven hours, 15 minutes in total.

Former Jetstar pilot Greg Lynn has lost his bid for bail as he awaits a retrial for the alleged murder of an elderly camper.
The 59-year-old made the bid for release after the Court of Appeal quashed his conviction late last year.
His defence team argued that the "exceptional circumstances" of the case meant Mr Lynn should be bailed to live with his son, who volunteered to put up his life savings as a surety.
During last week's bail application, defence barrister Dermot Dann argued Mr Lynn's time in custody before his conviction was among the exceptional circumstances weighing in favour of bail, alongside widespread "sensational" media coverage had "totally obliterated" the possibility of a fair trial in the foreseeable future.

Now, Aussie low-cost airline Jetstar is in the process of reviewing its current carry-on baggage policy in the hopes of reducing some of the stress around that particular part of the travel experience.
