Joel Edgerton has fallen victim to a case of mistaken identity, accidentally almost bringing a fan to tears.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly at San Diego Comic-Con, Edgerton told the story of a time he was mistaken for another Aussie star by an emotional fan.

“One time I had a young lady run up to me and say, ‘Oh my God, Oh my God, can I get your autograph?’” He said.

“And she was on the verge of tears. And I was like, ‘Wow, I’m really having an effect over this woman.’”

Joel Edgerton pretended to be Sam Worthington after an emotional fan mistook the actor for the latter during a meet-and-greet.

The 52-year-old star signed an autograph for the supporter before playing along with the mix-up and accepting praise for 49-year-old entertainer Sam's role as Jake Sully in Avatar.

One of the world’s largest private equity firms, TPG Capital, has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding an alleged car crash involving the firm’s high-profile Australian boss and separate allegations raised following the collision.

In a statement on Tuesday evening, TPG Capital said it had engaged an international law firm to conduct the probe, after its local boss, Joel Thickins, took leave from the firm after allegedly crashing his car into five vehicles in Sydney’s eastern suburbs earlier this month.

TPG owns multiple businesses in Australia including Greencross vets, and has previously controlled department store giant Myer and the country’s biggest chicken producer, Ingham’s, making it one of the nation’s most influential financial players.

The Philadelphia 76ers will get a chance at home to even their first-round playoff series against the Boston Celtics on Sunday in Game 4.

The Celtics were able to reclaim the series lead on Friday, going up 2-1 after defeating the hosting Sixers in Game 3. It was a much closer affair though than Boston’s first win in this series — a 32-point victory in Game 1 — with Philadelphia putting up another valiant effort until simply faltering a bit too much at the end of the 108-100 contest.

Celtics, 76ers Game 4 injury reports: who’s in, who’s out

Joel Embiid (doubtful) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (questionable) are both on the 76ers injury report ahead of Game 3 vs the Celtics.

PHILADELPHIA — The Celtics will be at full strength when they face off against the 76ers in Game 4 on Sunday night in Philadelphia. The team shared a completely clean injury report, even though it appeared that Jaylen Brown and Derrick White both got banged up in Friday’s Game 3 Celtics win.

But, the 76ers continue to list Joel Embiid (post-appendectomy surgery recovery) as doubtful, while adding Kelly Oubre Jr (questionable with right adductor soreness) to the injury report.

White seemingly hurt his neck in the first minute of the ball game, while Brown turned his ankle in the fourth quarter. Neither player subbed out of the game, and both confirmed they were fine after the fact.
