    Jennifer Lawrence's First Role Involved Tormenting Tony Shalhoub's Monk

    Jennifer Lawrence got her start on TV with a promo for MTV's "My Super Sweet 16," before landing additional early credits, including a starring role on "The Bill Engvall Show" and a guest appearance on a 2006 episode of "Monk." In Season 5, Episode 3, "Mr. Monk and the Big Game," Lawrence plays a high school basketball team mascot in a cougar costume who jumps on the back of Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub) during a tense moment in a championship game. The rightfully annoyed investigator quickly waves her away and returns his attention to the court.

    Looks like Jennifer Lawrence thinks her looks are the reason she didn’t star in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. When asked on a recent episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast if the director had wanted to cast her in his 2019 film, she replied, “Well, he did, and then everybody was like, ‘She’s not pretty enough to play Sharon Tate.’” The role ultimately went to Margot Robbie, and Lawrence is convinced that physical appearance was a deciding factor. “I’m pretty sure it is true,” Lawrence said. “Or it’s that thing where I’ve been telling the story for so long that way I believe it. I’m pretty sure that’s true, or he just never was considering me for the part and the internet just went out of its way to call me ugly.”

    Jennifer Lawrence is finding the silver linings in some on-set missteps early in her career.

    The No Hard Feelings actress revealed that she accidentally took the wrong kind of pill on two separate occasions while working on past movies.

    "You and I are both obsessive about sleep when we’re working, like counting the hours," Jennifer told her Don't Look Up costar Leonardo DiCaprio during the Dec. 17 episode of CNN and Variety's Actors on Actors series. "When I did Red Sparrow, I took an Adderall instead of a sleeping pill, and then I didn’t sleep all night. I was taking hot showers in a panic. I am not somebody who can function without sleep. And then I had to say the phrase ‘Senate Armed Services Committee’ in a Russian accent. That sucked."

    Jennifer Lawrence 'was hallucinating' on 'Hunger Games' set after taking this drug

    Jennifer Lawrence is dishing on her “Hunger Games” days, revealing she “was hallucinating” after an on-set mishap.

    During a chat with Leonardo DiCaprio on Variety and CNN’s Actors on Actors series, the actress says she accidentally took the wrong prescription medication while filming “Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”

    “You and I are both obsessive about sleep when we’re working, like counting the hours,” Lawrence told her “Don’t Look Up” co-star. “When I did ‘Red Sparrow,’ I took an Adderall instead of a sleeping pill, and then I didn’t sleep all night.
