But Meta disagrees. The company's lawyer says that while some people can have problems with how much they use social media, that doesn't necessarily mean they're addicted to it, and a spokesperson for the company stood by its efforts to create stronger protections for teens. If the judge finds Meta guilty, it may have to make some changes to its platforms. And it could be forced to cough up $282 billion AUD!
