Australian Tongan siblings Vika and Linda Bull are among our nation's most celebrated and dynamic vocal duos.

Beyond their sublime harmonies, however, the singing sisters are very different people whose music tastes were "polar opposites" growing up.

"I'm a little bit country, and Vika's a little bit rock'n'roll," Linda says on Take 5 with Zan Rowe.

Older sister Vika admits to being the wilder of the two growing up. But she was also a natural leader and trailblazer.

Take 5 with Zan Rowe: Oct 8

Guests on the finale of Take 5 with Zan Rowe are Vika and Linda Bull.

For 40 years Vika and Linda Bull have crafted heavenly sounds. From backing the greats to singing their own story, they’ve thrived standing side by side. In this beautiful episode they share the songs that helped them find their harmony.

Through a scrapbook mixtape, Vika and Linda take us back to the church of their childhood, where Tongan voices soared through hymns and showed them the power of singing together.

Linda Noskova fends off Muchova fightback to win first grand slam title at Wimbledon

As one of her worst nightmares on a tennis court appeared to be unfolding before her disbelieving eyes, Linda Noskova walked solemnly to her chair with both index fingers plugged into her ears. She was attempting to block out the roars of a booming Centre Court crowd, which had erupted in jubilation at her failure to convert no fewer than five championship points. But the 21-year-old knew deep down that what she truly needed to block out were her own fatalistic thoughts.

Noskova’s hopes of capturing her first Wimbledon title were in freefall by that point. She had lost five consecutive games, her easy 6-2, 5-2 lead crumbling to dust as she found herself in an unwanted final set. Having betrayed all of her tension and fears to her bloodthirsty compatriot, victory seemed much further away than the scoreline suggested.

‘Never easy to get the last point’: Noskova revels in dramatic Wimbledon win

London: Linda Noskova joked earlier in the Wimbledon fortnight that she didn’t know how to celebrate wins.

When Karolina Muchova’s return failed to clear the net to seal Noskova’s maiden grand slam title, she fell to her back, put her hands over her face and soaked in a moment that everyone had expected to happen more than an hour earlier.

She went from dominating the first-ever all-Czech women’s grand slam final to losing five championship points, finding herself in a deciding set and fearing she might have blown it in a second-set meltdown.

The agony of that shocking implosion was replaced with relief, joy and overflowing tears as Noskova steadied to beat her friend 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 in a two-and-a-half-hour rollercoaster of emotions.

Karolina Muchova was understandably devastated as she accepted her runner-up trophy following a dramatic Wimbledon final against fellow Czech Linda Noskova.

The 29-year-old was riding a 10-match winning streak into the final after her grasscourt triumph in Bad Homburg the week before Wimbledon.

She was also on a nine-match winning streak against Czechs, having not lost to a compatriot in nearly four years.
