Zuffa Boxing Is Coming To London September 26

Zuffa Boxing lands in London on September 26 with Zuffa Boxing 11, featuring the promotional debut of newly signed heavyweight Johnny Fisher.

The 27-year-old Essex native, known as "The Romford Bull," enters with a professional record of 14-1 with 12 knockouts. Fisher has built his career largely in London, having already fought twice at the Copper Box Arena, including his 2024 stoppage win over Alen Babic.

His most recent bout came in December 2025, a fourth-round knockout of Ivan Balaz in Monte Carlo. Fisher's addition to the Zuffa Boxing roster marks the promotion's continued push into the UK heavyweight scene, with further undercard announcements to follow.

Fisher’s opponent has yet to be announced.

Dana White hands Eddie Hearn major blow as Zuffa snatch British fighter from Matchroom

The Dana White-backed promotion has previously signed Conor Benn, provoking a war of words with Matchroom chief Eddie Hearn.

Dana White and Eddie Hearn’s feud looks set to continue after Zuffa Boxing signed a British fighter from under Matchroom Boxing’s noses.

Since Conor Benn went behind Hearn’s back by signing with White-backed Zuffa, the promoters have engaged in a feud.

While White, Saudi Arabia’s Turki Alalshikh, TKO Group Holdings and Sela continue to grow Zuffa’s roster as they look to take over the sport of boxing by signing some of the most talented fighters, Hearn has also entered the world of MMA by launching the Matchroom Talent Agency.

Emirates Goes All-In To London: Airbus A380 Flights Boosted To Massive 9 Daily

Dubai-based Emirates, it appears, is anticipating full recovery to its very important London market by the end of the year, as the carrier has scheduled nine daily Airbus A380 services for December. For context, the last time Emirates operated nine daily A380s to London was in December 2025.

When talking about London and the Emirates A380, it is worth specifying that the carrier operates to three gateways in the city, but it only operates the A380 to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and London Gatwick Airport (LGW). This article evaluates how the airline splits its A380 operations across the two airports.

Emirates cuts A380 flights but love affair endures

The Airbus A380, the double-deck superjumbo, has long been the flagship of Emirates’ fleet. But with fewer of the aircraft flying this summer, speculation is growing that the world’s largest passenger jet is nearing the end of its commercial life.

Industry analysts say those fears are premature. They argue the reduced schedule, in Emirates’ case at least, reflects refurbishment work, routine maintenance and delays to Boeing deliveries, rather than any strategic move away from the A380.

Emirates plans to operate about 16 percent fewer A380 flights in July than a year ago, according to data from aviation analysts Cirium. The carrier’s network to Australasia has taken the greatest hit, down by more than a quarter, while A380 flights to Europe have dropped by almost 23 percent.

Emirates Doubles Down On London As 9 Daily Airbus A380 Flights Return

DUBAI- Emirates (EK) will increase its Airbus A380 operations to London to nine daily flights from December, reinforcing one of the airline’s busiest international markets. The expanded schedule covers London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW), while London Stansted (STN) continues to receive Boeing 777 services.

The additional capacity strengthens connectivity between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and London as Emirates rebuilds its network. From December, the airline will operate 12 daily flights across London’s three airports, matching a level of A380 service last seen in December 2025.

London remains Emirates’ largest Airbus A380 market by daily frequency. According to the latest scheduling data published by Cirium, an aviation analytics company, the airline plans to operate 9 daily A380 services to London from December. This will match the level last recorded in December 2025.

A non-stop London to Sydney flight is coming – could you handle it?

On a stage at the Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, the chief executive of Australian airline Qantas declares: "The tyranny of distance has finally been conquered".

Vanessa Hudson was in the French city last week to announce the world's first 20-plus hour flight route.

The airline first flew what it named the Kangaroo route between London and Sydney in 1947. At the time, it was an odyssey spanning seven stops and four days.

Those stops have been gradually reduced, with Qantas now stopping only once, in Singapore, on the way through.

But 80 years after that 1940s venture, the first non-stop flight between the two cities is set to take off from October 2027.

When Qantas first flew between Sydney and London in 1947 on the “Kangaroo Route”, the journey took a whopping five days and included seven laborious stops. This week, the airline and Airbus announced that its world-first, ultra-long-range aircraft will travel on the same route from October 2027 – taking only 22 hours.

When antique clock collector Robert Kennedy and master clocksmith Nagaraj climbed the bell tower of the historic Holy Trinity Cathedral at Palayamkottai in Tirunelveli district to inspect its tower clock recently, they were thrilled to make a remarkable discovery: the timepiece predates the Great Bell of the Great Clock at the Palace of Westminster, London, nicknamed Big Ben.

A routine inspection of the tower clock at the historic Holy Trinity Cathedral in Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli, has led to a remarkable revelation: the 171‑year‑old timepiece predates London’s iconic Big Ben by five years. Antique clock collector Robert Kennedy and master clocksmith Nagaraj, invited by the church to assess the clock’s failing chime, found that the mechanism was manufactured in 1854 by John Moore & Sons of Clerkenwell and installed in 1855 making it possibly the oldest functioning tower clock in India.

Set yourself up for an Attenborough inspired Urban Safari

While best known for nature documentaries featuring wildlife from across the globe, Sir David Attenborough's latest programme, broadcast over the festive season and co-produced by London Wildlife Trust, focused on opportunities to see and enjoy wildlife close to home. — writes Erin McDaid of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. Despite having grown up locally in Leicester, home for Sir David for over 70 years, has been London.

While the programme focussed on wildlife in the capital, most of the species featured can be seen here in Notts – and many parts of the country.

The adaptability of creatures to live alongside us, and changes to how we manage the countryside can often mean urban wildlife watching trips are more rewarding than trips to the countryside. Unless you're visiting a nature reserve with habitats such as wetland, where large numbers of waterfowl might gather, many parts of our rural landscape are surprisingly devoid of wildlife, and those species that do thrive can be elusive.
