The Celtics could be without 7 key players vs Magic

Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Neemias Queta, Sam Hauser, Payton Pritchard and Nikola Vučević are all on the injury report.

BOSTON — The Celtics could be without most of their rotation when they face the Orlando Magic on Sunday.

Jayson Tatum (right Achilles repair management), Jaylen Brown (left Achilles tendonitis), Derrick White (right knee contusion), and Neemias Queta (right toe sprain) are all out. Sam Hauser (low back spasm), Payton Pritchard (left foot plantar fasciitis), and Nikola Vučević (right ring finger fracture management) are all doubtful.

The lengthy injury report comes as no surprise, because the Celtics have already locked up the No. 2 seed with one game left to play in the regular season. None of the injuries appears to be cause for concern, and everyone except for Tatum laced up on Friday night, when the Celtics blew out the New Orleans Pelicans and solidified their standings in the Eastern Conference.

Magic vs. Lakers Prediction: Preview, Injury Report, Advantages, X-Factors

The Magic host the Lakers at the Kia Center on Saturday, March 21, at 7 p.m. ET.

The Magic are 38-31, seventh in the East, and 21-12 at home. The Lakers are 45-25, third in the West, and 22-13 on the road.

The Magic are coming off a 130-111 loss to the Hornets, while the Lakers are coming off a 134-126 win over the Heat.

The Magic also lead the season series 1-0 after a 110-109 win in the first meeting. Paolo Banchero is averaging 22.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, and Jalen Suggs is at 13.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists.

For the Lakers, Luka Doncic is averaging 33.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 8.4 assists, while LeBron James is at 21.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.9 assists. This is a real test of style because the Magic want a physical game, while the Lakers want their stars deciding it late as Austin Reaves remains in jeopardy.

Lakers Game Preview: Game 57 vs Magic

The disappointing loss in the high-profile matchup against the Celtics reinforced what we’ve seen all season: the Lakers are not on the level of the top-tier teams. Maybe, even likely, that is simply not happening this season. Over 56 games, they have had plenty of opportunities to prove everyone wrong, but they just haven’t.

But the games still have to be played. And tonight, the Lakers face a team much closer to their lane, the 30–26 Orlando Magic. If we go by point differential, the dreaded metric we’ve used all season to explain why the Lakers are further from the best than their record suggests, these two teams are actually shoulder to shoulder in the rankings, at 17th and 16th.

NBA Best Bets: Top Magic vs. Lakers prop bets for Tuesday 2/24/26

Keagan Smith details his best NBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Tuesday’s game between the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers.

The final game of Tuesday’s NBA schedule sees the Los Angeles Lakers and their star trio welcome Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic to the West Coast. This could be a very exciting matchup between a high-powered L.A. offense and a gritty Orlando side that likes to slow the pace, and there are plenty of prop bet options available to get in on the action with.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Los Angeles is a 5.5-point favorite at home with -205 odds to win on the Moneyline. The game total is set at 230.5 combined points.

Lakers' Luka Doncic: Exits to locker room vs. Orlando

Doncic exited to the locker room after the first quarter of Tuesday's game against the Magic due to an apparent eye injury, Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Doncic was poked in the eye earlier in the quarter but was able to play all 12 minutes, during which he recorded 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and one steal. If the superstar isn't able to return, Luke Kennard and Jake LaRavia would be candidates to see increased playing time.

Magic 111-109 Clippers (Feb 22, 2026) Game Recap

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — — Desmond Bane scored 36 points and Paolo Banchero added 16 points and eight assists as the Orlando Magic held on for a 111-109 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night.

Wendell Carter Jr. had 15 points and 14 rebounds and Tristan da Silva scored 13 for the Magic, who improved to 5-2 since Feb. 5.

Kawhi Leonard shrugged off an ankle injury to score 37 points and Bennedict Mathurin added 21 points and nine rebounds off the bench for the Clippers, who are 4-5 since Feb. 2. Mathurin missed a 3-point attempt to win the game at the buzzer.

Leonard exited Friday’s loss against the Los Angeles Lakers with an ankle sprain. Mathurin was playing in his fifth game for the Clippers after he was acquired at the trade deadline from the Indiana Pacers.

Magic escape Clippers in 111-109 victory

The Orlando Magic were already facing an uphill battle when they entered Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers inside Intuit Dome.

Not only was Orlando at a rest disadvantage playing on the second night of a back-to-back at Los Angeles, but Jamahl Mosley‘s squad was also without Franz Wagner (left high ankle sprain injury management) and Jalen Suggs (back spasms) for a second game in a row.

But after falling by three points in double overtime Saturday night at Phoenix, the Magic didn’t let the excuses stop them from digging deep late and capturing a 111-109 victory.

Game Preview: Suns take on the Magic for the first time this season

The Phoenix Suns look to dust the rust off heading back home after a disappointing loss to the San Antonio Spurs the other day. Both teams coming into this contest have injuries to consider: in the previous contest, Devin Booker exited the game and did not return due to hip soreness.

Creating Real Magic For Season Two Of ‘Percy Jackson And The Olympians’

“Can I talk about my favourite shot of the entire season?” Jules O'Loughlin, cinematographer of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, asked.

Lovely reader, that is a question this writer could never say ‘no’ too.

“It's the opening of the chariot race,” he said, “when they're all lined up on the field and the camera tracks past all of the characters in the chariots and it gets tighter. And then there's this push in on Leah, the actress who plays Annabeth, in that gold costume. And I'm not even looking at the chariot. I'm looking at the gold of her costume. That shot is my favourite shot in the entire series. Leah looks so gorgeous. But it's the costume, Cate, that just jumps off the screen. And I remember you gave me that helmet.”

Orlando Magic forward/center Moritz Wagner is listed as available to make his season debut Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans, the team announced Saturday.

Wagner was a Sixth Man of the Year candidate last season before tearing his ACL in December. He was averaging a career-high 12.9 points per game while shooting 56.2% from the field before the injury.

The Magic signed Wagner to a one-year, $5 million deal this summer to keep him in Orlando.

The brother of Magic star Franz Wagner, Moritz Wagner was selected with the 25th pick in the 2018 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. After three stops in his first three seasons, he was waived toward the end of the 2020-21 season and picked up by Orlando.

Magic 112-110 Pacers (1 Jan, 2026) Game Recap

INDIANAPOLIS — — Paolo Banchero had 29 points and 10 rebounds and hit the go-ahead basket with 7.5 seconds remaining as the Orlando Magic rallied from a 10-point, third-quarter deficit and beat Indiana 112-110 on Wednesday, sending the Pacers to their 10th consecutive loss.

As the clock was winding down in regulation, Banchero backed down Aaron Nesmith and banked home an 11-foot shot for the final basket in a game that included 12 ties and 11 lead changes. The power forward finished 12 of 21 from the field and 5 for 7 at the line.

Orlando's Desmond Bane scored 18, Anthony Black added 15 and former Pacers center Goga Bitadze 14.

The Magic (19-15), who have been without leading scorer Franz Wagner (22.7 points per game) since Dec. 7 due to a high-ankle sprain, welcomed back point guard Jalen Suggs from a seven-game absence with a hip issue. Suggs had 11 points and three assists.

Magic vs. Pacers prediction: NBA Wednesday night picks, odds, best bets

Sports bettors must stay flexible throughout the course of a long NBA season. Injuries occur, lineups change, and players evolve.

A good example of this is Anthony Black of the Orlando Magic, who visit the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old guard is in his third season and is starting to find his groove, now that he has started nine straight games. That has led to scoring at least 19 points in each of his past seven games, cashing the Over in his point props in each.

When a young player is rewarded with more playing time, he is usually reluctant to embrace the opportunity with full throttle right away.
