MI captain Hardik Pandya said they were going to assess him in a couple of games' time. They also lost the toss, and the unbeaten Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer had no hesitation choosing to bowl at the chase-friendly Wankhede Stadium.

Shavkat Rakhmonov expected to miss several more months after another surgery

Shavkat Rakhmonov is likely going to miss most, if not all of 2026.

The undefeated Rakhmonov, who earned a UFC welterweight title shot after a spectacular start to his promotional run, is expected to miss another nine to 10 months of action following surgery to his re-injured knee, Rakhmonov’s manager Daniel Rubenstein confirmed to MMA Fighting on Saturday. The news was first reported by Ariel Helwani.

Social media reacted to a video that showed Rakhmonov attending Saturday’s Naiza FC 80 event in Kazakhstan wearing a knee brace and needing crutches. The news serves as a massive blow to the 19-0 fighter, who turned 31 this past October.

Undefeated UFC Title Contender in Islam Makhachev’s Division Crushes Return Hopes After Being Spotted With Crutches

Islam Makhachev claimed the welterweight crown after defeating Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322. The Dagestani’s dominant win put the division on alert, but a few names still caught his interest. Fans started calling for matchups against contenders like Ian Garry, Carlos Prates, or Michael Morales. At the same time, many hoped to see Shavkat Rakhmonov return and challenge Makhachev. However, dark clouds now loom over that matchup, as the undefeated Kazakh was recently spotted wearing crutches with knee braces.

“Shavkat Rakhmonov was spotted walking with crutches and a knee brace. He hasn’t fought since December 2024 due to a knee injury,” Championship Round posted on X, ‘Nomad’ walking with the crutches at NAIZA 80 fight night event.

Stefon Diggs ends notable drought with massive touchdown against Texans

Sunday afternoon's playoff game between the Patriots and the Texans doesn't have the most ideal weather conditions, meaning every point a team can accumulate is huge.

The Patriots' defense set the offense up well to start the game, and with a four point lead, they were in a position to get more points up on the board.

That's exactly what they did, as Stefon Diggs scored a massive touchdown to extend the New England lead to a two-possession game.

Diggs' late second-quarter touchdown was his fifth career postseason touchdown, and it was the first time in a long time that he got a touchdown on the board in a playoff game.

"We've got to do better. I think we'll know what better looks like," Haslam said.

Ultimately, a 5-12 record in 2025 wasn't better. The Browns on Monday announced the firing of Stefanski, who guided Cleveland the past six seasons and led the franchise to two playoff appearances while also winning two NFL Coach of the Year awards (2020 and 2023). Stefanski leaves Cleveland with a 45-56 regular-season record and a 1-2 record in the postseason.

Miami is two wins away from its first national title since the 2001 college football season. Ole Miss is two wins away from its first national title since 1960.

Which team will be one step away after winning the Fiesta Bowl?

Ole Miss (13-1): The Rebels were 6.5-point underdogs to a Georgia team that had won the first game between the teams. The Bulldogs won the regular-season matchup 43-35 in Athens. In that game, Ole Miss faded in the fourth quarter as Georgia’s defense took over. On New Year’s night, Ole Miss took over in the second half and it was Georgia that faded down the stretch. The Rebels outscored the Bulldogs 20-10 in the fourth quarter in a 39-34 win.

Miss Universe Finale Nears as Pageant Pushes Past Controversy

The Miss Universe pageant is moving toward its final show on November 21, pressing on after a turbulent start that quickly went viral online. Belize’s representative, Isabella Zabaneh, has been steadily gaining support from Belizeans at home and abroad. Belize has not placed since 1979, when Sarita Diana Acosta reached the Top 12, and many are now wondering whether Zabaneh could finally break that decades-long streak.

Her wardrobe choices have also stirred conversation back home. In an interview, she remarked that “women do not really have a guayabera,” prompting the owner of a local guayabera shop to publicly dispute the claim and share photos of the women’s styles offered in their store. But while the post criticised Zabaneh’s remark, public sentiment overwhelmingly favoured her. The backlash led to a lengthy Facebook apology in which the owner deleted the comment and announced the business would close.
