Police dig the site where Grevin Breadsell said he found part of a skull. (ABC Tropical North)

An inquest into the disappearance of Marilyn Wallman heard that a piece of the schoolgirl's skull was kept in a shed and used as an ashtray before it was handed over to police.

The court heard Greven Breadsell discovered the remains in 1974 at McGregor Creek, west of Mackay, while searching for palm fronds near a dump site.

Ms Wallman disappeared while riding her bike to school near Mackay on March 21, 1972.

The man who found part of missing Mackay schoolgirl Marilyn Wallman's skull took it to a pub where it was used as an ashtray, an inquest has heard.

Prince Harry, Meghan and children Archie and Lilibet visit King Charles and Queen Camilla

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have visited King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Friday evening that the King and Queen hosted the family at Highgrove House earlier in the afternoon.

The Palace described the meeting at the King's private home in Gloucestershire as a "private family occasion".

It is the first time the King has seen his grandchildren Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, in person in more than four years.

Prince Harry and Meghan had not been in the UK together since 2022, when they attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

Queen Camilla “Dropped Everything” to Be Part of King Charles and Prince Harry’s Reunion

King Charles went to great lengths to keep his reunion with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Archie, and Lilibet secret, only telling Queen Camilla the meeting was going ahead so that she could be by his side.

According to sources, not even the Prince and Princess of Wales were made aware that the meeting was taking place.

King Charles, who has sworn his youngest son and daughter-in-law to secrecy, insisting that nothing about last Friday’s reunion was leaked, only allowed aides to confirm the reunion had happened once Harry had left Highgrove House without being seen.

According to a source close to the monarch, Friday’s hour-long meeting was “completely cloak-and-dagger, orchestrated by the king.”
