    Jurors hear from host of medical experts as defence says postpartum psychosis caused young mother to kill children

    It’s been called “America’s saddest murder trial” and last week jurors in the Lindsay Clancy case listened to mental health professionals, counsellors, psychiatrists, and medication experts explain the circumstances in which the young mother killed her three children.

    It has been a spectacle that has gripped America, not least because Clancy’s legal defense has been supported by her now divorced husband.

    The evidence last week bolstered the contention that Clancy was over-medicated and underserved as she tried to get help before she suffered a psychotic mental break – exacerbated by undiagnosed postpartum depression – that led to her kill her young family. It has also backed up the defense argument that Clancy’s medical team failed in its duty of care towards her.

    Lindsay Clancy's murder trial zeroed in Friday on the nearly five days that the Massachusetts mother spent in a psychiatric hospital a few weeks before she killed her three children.

    Her stay is a key chapter in both the prosecution and defense narratives about her mental state when she strangled the children in their suburban home and then jumped out a second-story window.

    More than 30 years after a young woman, Rachel Nickell, was murdered while walking with her two-year-old son on Wimbledon Common in south London, her family are telling their story of what happened through a new drama series and documentary.

    In July 1992, 23-year-old Rachel was stabbed 49 times while out walking with the family dog, Molly.

    Her two-year-old son Alex was found clutched to her body, the only witness to what had happened.

    For Alex, now aged 36, and his father André Hanscombe, revisiting that day has one purpose: to share what they experienced and to spark a wider conversation about the aftermath of the tragedy.

    Almost 35 years after Rachel Nickell was brutally murdered, her story is being shared on screen. The infamous 1992 tragedy which took place in broad daylight—with Nickell's infant son as the only witness—is at the center of a wave of TV retellings, including two Netflix projects. As announced in March 2025, Netflix adapted the crime story into the dramatized series The Witness, and are accompanying the series’ June 4 premiere with a documentary, The Murder of Rachel Nickell. (Prime Video will also be releasing a two-part docuseries on Nickell later this year, titled The Wimbledon Killer.)

    SPOILER ALERT: The following story contains plot details from “No One’s Normal. It Just Looks That Way from Across the Street,” the series finale of “DTF St. Louis,” now streaming on HBO Max.

    “DTF St. Louis” is not a conventional murder mystery, and its April 12 finale did not deliver a conventional conclusion. The HBO limited series spent seven episodes investigating the death of Missouri ASL interpreter Floyd Smernitch (David Harbour), who was found dead after drinking a poisoned Bloody Mary in the Kevin Kline Community Pool Center. (Fun fact: Kline is a St. Louis native!) Over seven episodes, detectives Donoghue Homer (Richard Jenkins) and Jodie Plumb (Joy Sunday) circled a few likely suspects: Floyd’s best friend, local weatherman Clark Forrest (Jason Bateman), who was having an affair with Floyd’s wife Carol (Linda Cardellini); Carol, who’d just taken out a seven-figure life insurance policy for Floyd — and even Floyd’s stepson Richard (Arlan Ruf), a socially awkward pre-teen with a history of violent outbursts.

    Greg Lynn's murder conviction for death of High Country camper quashed

    The Court of Appeal has set aside Greg Lynn's conviction for the murder of elderly camper Carol Clay.

    The decision comes about 18 months after a jury returned a split verdict in Mr Lynn's high-profile double murder trial.

    Former Jetstar pilot Greg Lynn has had his murder conviction overturned on appeal, and will face a new trial.

    Mr Lynn, 59, was found guilty last year after a high-profile Supreme Court trial of murdering retiree Carol Clay in Victoria's High Country in March 2020.

    He was acquitted of the murder of her camping companion, Russell Hill.

    Mr Lynn subsequently appealed his sentence and conviction on four key grounds, some of them linked to the prosecution's conduct during the trial's closing arguments, and labelled his 32-year prison sentence "manifestly excessive".

    Former Jetstar pilot will face a new trial after his conviction over the 2020 killing of camper Carol Clay was overturned

    Former pilot Greg Lynn has had his conviction for murdering an elderly camper in the Victorian high country overturned in a stunning decision made by the state’s highest court.

    Lynn, 59, was found guilty in June last year of murdering 73-year-old grandmother Carol Clay in 2020, but was acquitted of murdering her fellow camper and lover Russell Hill, 74.

    He was sentenced to a minimum of 24 years in prison for murdering Clay.

    The Victorian court of appeal on Thursday ruled that Lynn’s conviction be overturned, and ordered that a new trial should be held in the case.

    High Country killer Greg Lynn has won a high-stakes appeal over his conviction and 32-year prison sentence for the murder of Carol Clay.

    Court of Appeal justices Karin Emerton, Phillip Priest and Peter Kidd on Thursday unanimously agreed Lynn’s conviction should be quashed and ordered that he face a retrial.

    Emerton said that “serious irregularities in the course of the trial were not capable of being remedied”.

    Keefe D’s Tupac Murder Trial Postponed to August 2026

    The long-running case surrounding Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder has taken another turn. Duane Keith “Keefe D” Davis’ trial has officially been pushed back due an overwhelming flood of new evidence.

    KSNV reports that a Las Vegas District Court Judge set a new date for the trial to begin on August 10, 2026. The trial was initially scheduled to begin on February 9, 2026. Keefe D’s attorney, Robert Draskovich, told the court that the discovered material is “voluminous” and requires significantly more time to review. Prosecutors did not oppose the request.

    Keefe D, 60 has been behind bars at the Clark County Detention Center since his 2023 arrest. He is accused of orchestrating the drive-by shooting that killed Tupac near the Las Vegas Strip nearly three decades ago.
