Elon Musk Grok AI Predicts XRP could reach three-digit prices by the end of 2026. However, XRP price action has made that prediction much harder to justify.

XRP trades near $1.00 today, after falling below the psychological level earlier this month. The token reached a 2025 peak near $3.65 before losing most of those gains.

That leaves XRP needing a massive recovery before even approaching previous highs. Reaching $100 would require a roughly 100x move from current levels.

Grok previously placed XRP's base case between $2.45 and $2.80 for 2026. Its optimistic scenario reached between $3 and $5 under stronger market conditions.

However, Grok also produced a much more aggressive scenario after being given a potential JPMorgan XRPL development. That scenario placed XRP between $12 and $25.

XRP Prediction 2026: Kalshi Odds Climb on XRP Hitting $1.5 in 2026

XRP price prediction for 2026 from Kalshi has odds of the asset trading above $1.50 this year at 23%, climbing from 18% just yesterday. This renewed optimism comes as Ripple is trading at about $1 per coin, according to CoinGecko.

This is about 72.6% below its July 2025 all-time high of $3.65. The token had a market capitalization of roughly $62.8Bn, ranking sixth among cryptocurrencies, while 24-hour trading volume was about $779M across 152 exchanges and 470 markets tracked by the platform.

The $1 area remains an important reference point in recent XRP trading. While the available evidence does not support a price forecast of $2 or $0.50, it does indicate a market focused on whether XRP can maintain the $1 psychological level, with fund-flow data remaining subdued.

X Outage Seemingly Over As Cloudflare Deploys Fix

X, the social media site owned by Elon Musk and formerly called Twitter, appears to be back online for most after experiencing an outage Monday morning reported by more than 35,000 users in the span of half an hour.

Nearly 36,000 people reported issues with X between 9:45 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. Monday that appeared to be largely resolved by 10:30 a.m.—but not before users took to Threads, the similar text-based social media site owned by Meta, to complain.

Cloudflare, a web infrastructure and cybersecurity firm used by X and other companies, on Monday reported it was experiencing "increased error rates and latency in multiple services” but did not specify if its issues were tied to the X outage.

Reports started to emerge earlier today that Elon Musk's X platform was experiencing an unplanned outage. A huge spike appeared on the DownDetector website (where users submit reports of problems) starting around 10am ET / 7am PT / 3pm ET on Friday, January 16.

The problems became apparent when no content would load for users either on the desktop or mobile version of X.com. The start of this year has been anything but smooth for X, as the platform has already come under fire for Musk's AI chatbot Grok sexualizing images of women without consent.

X down: Twitter not working amid major outage

The website and app stopped loading entirely on Tuesday. Problems were reported right across the world, according to tracking website Down Detector.

Twitter does not operate any status page of its own and it was not immediately clear why the app and website had broken.

It comes amid increasing scrutiny of X and its AI subsidiary, xAI, over the Grok chatbot. That chatbot – which is mainly used through X itself – has come under fire from governments and others after it generated an array of abusive and violent imagery.

While a number of countries have already looked to ban access to X over the outrage, there was nothing to indicate that the outage was related to that scandal.

Jan 13 (Reuters) – An X outage eased on Tuesday after thousands of users worldwide reported issues with accessing the social ‌media platform, according to Downdetector.com.

The outage began around 9 ‌a.m. ET, peaking at more than 28,300 logged issues with Elon Musk's platform in the U.S. before cooling to about 700 reports, ⁠according to Downdetector.

In ‌the UK, reports fell to roughly 130 from a high of ‍more than 8,000, while Canada saw issues decline after topping 3,200 earlier in the day, according to the website that tracks outages by collating status ‌reports from a number of sources.

The company did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment on what caused the outage.
