US deploys over 15 warships for joint operation with Israel against Iran

The US has positioned more than 15 warships to support Operation Epic Fury, a joint military campaign with Israel against Iran. The market on another country conducting military action against Iran by April 15 is at 9.2% YES, up from 5% yesterday.

The deployment includes destroyers for mine-clearing and an incoming carrier strike group, consistent with escalation readiness or blockade enforcement. The April 30 market sits at 21.5% YES, down from 28% a week ago. The 12-point gap between the April 15 and April 30 contracts suggests traders expect any significant action to come after the nearer deadline.

Actual USDC volume is $6,516 over the last 24 hours. The order book depth indicates it takes $447 to move the April 15 market 5 points, making it susceptible to large trades. A 3-point spike occurred at 1:19 PM, driven by increased military activity.

DIU, Navy tap Anduril to prototype Dive-XL autonomous submarine

The Dive-XL prototype Anduril will be demonstrating is similar to the Ghost Shark Extra Large Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (XL-AUVs) being delivered to the Royal Australian Navy.

WASHINGTON — The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) and the US Navy have tapped Anduril to participate in the Combat Autonomous Maritime Platform Project (CAMP) with its prototype autonomous submarine, known as Dive-XL.

The contract includes conducting a long-range, “operationally representative” demonstration within four months of the contract award, according to Anduril.

The Dive-XL prototype is similar to the Ghost Shark Extra Large Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (XL-AUVs) the company is currently delivering to the Royal Australian Navy, Anduril said.

The United States needs the ability to deploy large payloads across extended ranges underwater. For this reason, the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) and the U.S. Navy have selected Anduril to address the persistent operational gap beneath the waves through participation in the Combat Autonomous Maritime Platform Project (CAMP).

Anduril was selected via DIU’S competitive Commercial Solutions Opening after having completed the longest XL-AUV demonstration conducted to date, validating extended-range performance and system endurance in operationally relevant conditions. Anduril’s autonomous undersea vehicles to-date have accumulated over 42,355km and 6,752 hours of mission time, proving the maturity, reliability, and long-duration capability required for distributed maritime operations.

'Ford' Nears Record Deployment as Navy Signals Readiness

USS Gerald R. Ford remains at sea as the Navy spotlights crew resilience and sustained readiness.

The carrier moves beyond eight months deployed after departing Naval Station Norfolk on June 24, 2025, for what was expected to be a routine Mediterranean rotation. The strike group first operated in the Atlantic and the U.S. Sixth Fleet area, then shifted west through the Strait of Gibraltar in November 2025 for U.S. Southern Command missions in the Caribbean.

Additional orders later sent the ship back across the Atlantic and into the Mediterranean amid rising tensions involving Iran as the U.S. bolstered its carrier presence in the region. The extended timeline clarified on Thursday has intensified scrutiny of fleet scheduling, Sailor dwell time and strain on a carrier force facing sustained global carrier demand.

Two US Navy ships collide in Caribbean, leaving 2 sailors injured

Two Navy ships deployed as part of the Trump administration’s massive military buildup in the Caribbean Sea have collided, leaving two troops with minor injuries, U.S. Southern Command said Thursday.

The destroyer USS Truxtun and the supply ship USNS Supply collided on Wednesday as the warship was getting a new load of supplies. The maneuver typically has the vessels sailing parallel, usually within hundreds of feet, while fuel and supplies are transferred across the gap via hoses and cables.

The military statement said two personnel reported minor injuries after the collision and that both were in stable condition. The two ships now are sailing safely, according to Southern Command.
