James Ham: “From the Kings: With his field goal at the 7:18 mark of Q4 tonight vs. LAL, Westbrook has passed Dominique Wilkins (26,688) for 16th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.”

@TheWestWolfPod: “Russ gotta take care of the ball. No, not all of them were his fault, but he’s gotta take care of the rock.”

Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo's return from injury for Milwaukee was bad news for Josh Giddey's Chicago Bulls as their NBA winning streak ground to a halt.

The Greek superstar, back after missing eight games with a calf strain, led the Bucks to a 112-103 road victory over the Bulls on Sunday (AEDT).

Antetokounmpo had a game-high 29 points and eight rebounds in his dominant 25 minutes of action, with his court time restricted.

Five NBA games, three NFL games, one loaded Christmas Day slate: Everything you need to know

Victor Wembanyama says Nikola Jokic is the best offensive player in the NBA, but Wemby believes he's the best overall player in the league. (0:45)

Christmas Day is usually a time for family and basketball, but the NFL is presenting a new challenge for the NBA this holiday season.

After a doubleheader of NFL games on Christmas last year, the league added one more matchup at night to kick off Week 17. All three NFL matchups are between divisional opponents. Meanwhile, the NBA is set to feature its regular slate of five games (all on ABC/ESPN) for the 18th straight year.

10 numbers to know for NBA on Christmas Day 2025

These stats — 2 per team for each Christmas Day game — are ones to know as the Dec. 25 slate approaches.

From LeBron-Kobe in 2010 to a pair of stellar efforts from Kyrie Irving, look back at the top Christmas moments through the years.

The annual Christmas Day slate is about celebrating the game and highlighting the best players in the world, but you’d have a hard time putting together five games that are more important than the ones we’ll have on Thursday.

Three of the games match up each of the top six teams in the Western Conference. The Mavs-Warriors matchup could wind up being critical in the Emirates Play-In Tournament positioning, especially if Kyrie Irving returns this season. While the Cleveland Cavaliers are off to a disappointing start to the season, they could certainly re-establish themselves as a top-tier team in the East (and a rival of the New York Knicks) in the next few months.

NBA Christmas Day: The 5 most interesting players to watch, featuring LeBron James, Cooper Flagg and a rising Spurs star

Every year, we can quibble over whether the NBA’s schedule-makers aced the annual Christmas Day showcase — whether some fan base or another has cause to feel aggrieved over its squad not getting the brightest possible spotlight (we see you, Detroit!) or whether one participant or another has ridden too long on the struggle bus this season to make for a particularly compelling watch (hey there, Mavs-Warriors!). But while the powers that be are unlikely to ever fully nail all 10 teams and all five games, they have, inarguably, seeded the holiday slate with plenty of eye-catching talent.

The 2025 Christmas quintuple-header features the defending NBA champions, eight top-10 offenses and six top-10 defenses. We’ll (hopefully) see as many as five Most Valuable Player winners, including last year’s winner and runner-up, 10 of last season’s 15 All-NBA selections (though Evan Mobley’s likely to miss it with his calf strain) and more than 25 players who’ve earned an All-Star nod — plus a few more who might be on the verge of cracking that list themselves.

NBA return on hold, Ben Simmons angling for success in pro fishing

While working on his comeback to basketball, the three-time NBA All-Star is a team owner in Sport Fishing Championship

TARZANA, Calif. – NBA free agent Ben Simmons is back with a team, just not in the NBA yet. Rather, the avid fisherman is the new controlling operator of the South Florida Sails of the Sport Fishing Championship.

Founded in 2021, SFC is a professional offshore saltwater fishing league with tournaments featuring pro anglers. There are 16 pro angling clubs combined in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts competing in 16 tournaments for a title.

‘In awe’: Simmons’ shock foray into ‘niche’ new sport with NBA career in limbo

With his NBA career still in jeopardy, Ben Simmons has made a curious foray into a new sport: fishing.

NBA Tips – Saturday, December 20 NBA Picks & Multi

The Cavaliers have won just three of their last ten games and currently sit outside the playoffs, they need more from Jarrett Allen and I don’t think they get it here.

Allen has failed to make use of these games without Evan Mobley, as some would have expected him to do.

It’s back-to-back games against Chicago and Allen only managed 20PR in game one. Different set of circumstances but they also played back in early November, and he tallied just 14PR.

He is averaging 10.2PPG over his last ten games and 6 rebounds over the same time frame. It would take a standout performance here, to break the trend for Allen.

What channel is Thunder vs Timberwolves on TV tonight? Time, NBA schedule, injury report

The OKC Thunder will face the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road at 8:30 p.m. CST Friday.

OKC (25-2) got back in the win column with a 122-101 home win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday. The Thunder holds a 1-0 lead in its regular-season series against the Timberwolves.

Minnesota (17-10) fell short in a 116-110 home loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. Anthony Edwards has missed the last three games due to right foot injury maintenance, and he's listed as questionable.

Here's everything you need to know about Friday's game between the Thunder and Timberwolves:

This game marks the second night of a back-to-back for OKC, and it's unclear if any of its players will show up on Friday's injury report as a result. That could make a tough road game against Minnesota even tougher. Still, the Thunder has shown it can win games despite being short-handed. It's the deepest team in the NBA with no shortage of scorers, playmakers and defenders, and its competitive fight shines regardless of who suits up. I'm picking OKC to beat Minnesota, which could be without Anthony Edwards.

NBA Betting Tips 2025-26: Saturday December 20th

NBA Saturday features five games, highlighted by the Western Conference clash between the Timberwolves and the defending champion Thunder. Here are our three best bets for Saturday’s games, with odds thanks to Dabble!

Fresh off an NBA Cup Finals loss to the New York Knicks, the San Antonio Spurs (19-7) made easy work of the Washington Wizards. No one needed to play more than 26 minutes and the starters, plus Victor Wembanyama potentially off the bench again, will be well rested for their back-to-back game here. The Atlanta Hawks (15-13) were disappointing against the Charlotte Hornets, and they too play a back-to-back.

Bulls vs Hornets injury report: Ayo Dosunmu, Coby White, LaMelo Ball, and more

It’s been almost a week since the Chicago Bulls last took the court—a 123–91 loss to a shorthanded Golden State Warriors team. But like their opponent, Chicago wasn’t fully healthy heading into the matchup either.

Against Golden State, Chicago was without Kevin Huerter, Tre Jones, Isaac Okoro, and Jalen Smith. After five days of rest, three of those four are set to return. Jones, Okoro, and Smith will rejoin Billy Donovan’s rotation after absences of three, eight, and five games, respectively.

Huerter is the only Bull, aside from Noa Essengue, who will miss a second straight game due to injury. He suffered an adductor strain just six minutes into the December 1 matchup against the Orlando Magic. The 6-foot-7 wing didn’t travel with the team to Charlotte, joining Ayo Dosunmu as one of the players who remained in Chicago.

Australia's Dyson Daniels has surged past his idol Gary "The Glove" Payton and is eyeing off Michael Jordan on the all-time list for most consecutive NBA games with at least one steal.

Daniels had five points, eight assists and six rebounds on Thursday (AEDT) as the Atlanta Hawks powered to a dominant 133-100 win over Sacramento.

But it was the 22-year-old's record-setting defensive efforts – which led to him being dubbed the "Great Barrier Thief" last season – that again turned heads.

Dyson Daniels Q&A: Americans are a little more sensitive, Australians talk a bit more s***

Many of the NBA’s top defenders likely see Dyson Daniels as a model to emulate. Following a July 2024 trade from New Orleans to Atlanta, he revitalized his career, capturing the Most Improved Player award and finishing as the runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year behind Evan Mobley. He soon parlayed those achievements into a four-year, $100 million extension with the Hawks.

Fresh off beating the LA Clippers at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Daniels spoke to HoopsHype after a recent practice about being the main point-of-attack defender on the Hawks, his reaction when he was traded from New Orleans, taking on more offensive responsibilities in the absence of Trae Young, and more.

Dyson Daniels flirts with triple-double in Saturday's win over Lakers

Dyson Daniels flirted with a triple-double for the Hawks Saturday night, dishing out 13 assists, grabbing eight rebounds, and chipping in 10 points (5-8 FG) while also recording one steal in a 122-102 win over the Lakers.

Daniels continues an impactful stretch on both ends of the floor, dishing out three or more assists, grabbing four or more rebounds, and scoring seven or more points in each of his last five games for the Hawks. The guard continues to provide fantasy managers with a stable multiple-category option on a nightly basis while leading an Atlanta starting five missing Trae Young.
