    Endeavour Energy Appoints New Chief Executive

    Stories of Bills' Highmark Stadium tunnel ahead of final game: 'Ours is dumb'

    ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The space is tight and unassuming.

    The enclosed tunnel is 192 feet long and 23 feet side to side, marked by a gray concrete floor that exaggerates the many wheels and shoes that go up and down it.

    The blue walls are painted with black accents. The trek from the field to the tunnel features a 7% incline. At the top there are two locker rooms — one home, one away.

    The tunnel, in the middle of the east end zone, belongs to Highmark Stadium — a stadium that has had many names but always been home to the Buffalo Bills.

    Marvel Studios decided to ring in the new year with a fresh trailer for Wonder Man, its eight-episode miniseries premiering later this month on Disney+. Part of the MCU’s Phase Six, the miniseries was created by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of Five Rings) and Andrew Guest (Hawkeye), with Guest serving as showrunner.

    As previously reported, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, an actor and stunt person with actual superpowers who decides to audition for the lead role in a superhero TV series—a reboot of an earlier Wonder Man incarnation. Demetrius Grosse plays Simon’s brother, Eric, aka Grim Reaper; Ed Harris plays Simon’s agent, Neal Saroyan; and Arian Moayed plays P. Clearly, an agent with the Department of Damage Control. Lauren Glazier, Josh Gad, Byron Bowers, Bechir Sylvain, and Manny McCord will also appear in as-yet-undisclosed roles

    Is it bad that I want to watch Wonder Man more than the next major Marvel movie after a single trailer?

    Personally, I don’t have superhero movie fatigue. The powers aren’t the problem; I just think we need a little more comedy and a little less fate-of-the-world drama! This one is Wonder Man, an 8-episode miniseries coming January 27th to Disney Plus. It’s meta in more ways than one.

    Wonder Man trailer: A struggling actor and a former terrorist fight superhero fatigue

    Marvel has released a trailer for the upcoming miniseries Wonder Man. Starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley, the miniseries is set to premiere on JioHotstar on January 28.

    Wonder Man is created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest. Cretton previously directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). Cretton also serves as a director on the show.

    The cast of the series includes includes Demetrius Goose, Ed Harris, Arian Moayed, Lauren Glazier, Olivia Thirlby, and Zlatko Buric.

    The story of Wonder Man is as follows, "Aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery, an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film “Wonder Man”. These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry."

    Celebrating New Year in the cinemas

    The Spring Festival holiday, now the country's most lucrative box-office season, was once considered a cinematic dead zone.

    In the early 1990s, it was common for theaters to shut down during the first few days of the Chinese New Year. That convention was overturned in 1995 with the release of action giant Jackie Chan's Rumble in the Bronx, which became a hit during the holiday, pioneering the concept of hesuidang — a term that has since expanded to encompass the entire New Year and Spring Festival period.

    This piece of cinema history was recently revisited at an event hosted by the China Film Administration and organized by the China Movie Channel at the China National Film Museum. The gathering marked the 120th anniversary of Chinese cinema, while promoting newly released and upcoming titles vying for the holiday audience.
