Death in Paradise favourite's new crime drama finally releases in the UK very soon

It's been over a year since Saint-Pierre, the Canadian crime drama starring Death in Paradise's Florence star Joséphine Jobert, first aired on CBC, but now a release date has finally been confirmed for viewers in the UK.

The series, which also stars Jack Ryan's Allan Hawco, will officially premiere in the UK on U&Alibi on Wednesday 22 April 2026 at 9pm. (Alternatively, you can catch a repeat on the same channel at 8pm on the following night.)

In Canada, the series has already run for two seasons, but in the UK it will be starting from the very beginning, with the first episode introducing us to the central characters Donny 'Fitz' Fitzpatrick and Deputy Chief Geneviève 'Arch' Archambault.

Death in Paradise star's 'outstanding' drama is your next must-watch

Calling all Death in Paradise fans! Joséphine Jobert's French crime drama Saint-Pierre is finally coming to the UK – and viewers don't have long to wait until the gripping police series arrives on TV screens.

The detective drama, which also stars Allan Hawco (Jack Ryan), first premiered in Canada in January 2025 and aired a second season earlier this year. The story centres around two seasoned detectives forced to team up despite their very different policing styles.

Death in Paradise fans have been patiently waiting for the show to arrive in the UK. It marks the first time Joséphine has returned to British screens since her departure from Death in Paradise in 2024.

Paradise season 2 episode 7 recap: Setting the stage

We all make plans. Sometimes those plans go just as expected. Sometimes they don’t. In the penultimate episode of Paradise season 2, we get a lot of discussion of plans. We also get a lot of consideration of what happens when a plan goes to an unexpected place.

It sets the stage for an explosive season finale, and “The Final Countdown” certainly gets all the pieces in place.

In the cold open, we flash back to before the world melted down. Sinatra (Julianne Nicholson) and Anders (Erik Svedberg-Zelman) are providing a tour for President Bradford (James Marsden). More than just a chance to get Marsden back in the show, this is a means of explaining how the bunker works. It’s a marvel, and it’s complex.

Death in Paradise's Selwyn stunned as old foe returns in first-look clip

Death in Paradise took a particularly sinister turn in last week's episode when Mervin travelled to Antigua to smooth things over with his brother Solomon – only to find himself taken hostage.

Naomi had encouraged him to make the trip after the DI confided in her that he blamed himself for the pair going their separate ways. After getting off on the wrong foot – which included Solomon asking Mervin to lend him some money, despite only just meeting, and then stealing the detective's belongings when he refused – Mervin gave him what for when he finally got a hold of his wheeler dealer sibling.

Death In Paradise star lets slip Mervin's future on show after terrifying twist

Death In Paradise star Daniel Ward has teased DI Mervin Wilson is in grave danger on the BBC detective drama. Things took a worrying turn for Mervin – played by Don Gilet – last week when he headed to Antigua.

In search for his brother Solomon, played by Daniel, it's clear things go awry when Mervin ends up being kidnapped – but what happened and will he make it out alive?

Speaking about Mervin's fate, Daniel exclusively told The Mirror: "He is in grave danger. There is a real pressure. This episode is epic. It's a huge amount of resources and effort and everyone pulls together in their own way to help him."

Death in Pardise star warns fans to watch as Solomon's 'mask slips' in horror kidnap

Death in Paradise star Daniel Ward has warned fans to watch out as DI Mervin Wilson faces serious peril in the beloved BBC detective series. Last week’s episode saw Mervin, played by Don Gilet, take the leap of faith to go to Antigua in a shocking twist. Whilst searching for his brother Solomon, portrayed by Daniel, matters quickly spiral out of control as the episode ends with Mervin presumably kidnapped and strapped to a chair.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the actor revealed that things are only going to get worse for the trusting detective in the highly anticipated episode, which airs on Monday (March 9). He told us: “His brother is a troublemaker, and he’s made some trouble. Mervin has gone to find his brother and has ended up, seemingly, kidnapped in Antigua, and I think it’s a sad realisation of what the brothers thought might happen.

Appetite for Australia: Guns N’ Roses Confirm Massive 2026 Stadium Tour!

Dust off your bandanas and start practicing that iconic Axl Rose serpentine sway because the world’s most dangerous band is coming back to our shores. It has just been confirmed that rock legends Guns N’ Roses will be bringing their massive 2026 World Tour to Australia this November and December, and the itinerary is looking like a dream for local rock fans.

Fresh off a monumental 2025 run through Europe, Asia, and Latin America, the band is showing no signs of slowing down. This isn’t just a nostalgia trip, either. While we can all expect to scream along to Sweet Child O’ Mine until our voices give out, the band is touring with fresh material. Late 2025 saw the release of two new singles, “Nothin'” and “Atlas”, their first new music in years. “Atlas” brings that signature stadium-rock urgency we love, while “Nothin'” offers a more introspective, piano-heavy side to the group.
