A passenger has been banned from future Qantas travel after a plane travelling on a long-haul flight from Australia to the US was diverted at the weekend after the man allegedly bit a flight attendant.

The QF21 flight left Melbourne at 2.30pm on Friday en route to Dallas and was diverted to Papeete in Tahiti seven hours later when the behaviour of the disruptive passenger forced it to land.

Passengers and other crew came to the assistance of the attendant during the alleged assault, a Qantas spokesperson said.

A Qantas plane travelling from Melbourne to Dallas was briefly diverted to Tahiti over the weekend to remove a man who allegedly bit a flight attendant.

Comedian and TV personality Mike Goldstein posted an Instagram video which appeared to show part of the incident, including a man stumbling into a toilet door and arguing with airline staff.

Fellow passengers and crew members rushed to help the staff member who was allegedly attacked by the man during the 18-hour QF21 flight. This masthead understands no serious injuries were caused.

The plane was forced to divert briefly to Tahiti’s capital city of Papeete, where the man was taken off the aircraft, met by local authorities and issued a no-fly ban by Qantas.

Disney Cruise ship passenger says ICE detained her waiter upon disembarking

On the heels of Disney announcing it’s doubling the number of ships making stops in San Diego, migrant-rights groups are demanding cruise lines do more to protect their employees. NBC 7’s Allison Ash reports from the Embarcadero with their concerns.

Dharmi Mehta’s five-day cruise aboard the Disney ship Magic was full of fun. The vessel stopped in Catalina Island and Ensenada before returning to San Diego, but as she was disembarking, Mehta said she was disturbed by what she saw — ICE Officers escorting crewmembers off the vessel in restraints.

The first sighting came as Mehta was waiting to clear customs. Later, as she and her family were leaving the parking lot at the B Street Pier near the cruise terminal, she spotted several other crewmembers being loaded into a white van surrounded by federal agents.

Families hoping to make memories on a cruise were unknowingly surrounded by alleged child predators working aboard the ships, according to law enforcement officials.

US Customs and Border Protection boarded five cruise ships, including a Disney cruise docked in San Diego, between April 23 and 25 as part of ongoing child sexual exploitation material (CSEM) enforcement operations, a CBP spokesperson told The California Post.

“After boarding the vessels and interviewing 26 suspected crew members from the Philippines, one suspected crew member from Portugal, and one from Indonesia, officers confirmed all subjects were involved in either the receipt, possession, transportation, distribution, or viewing of CSEM or child pornography,” the CBP spokesperson said.

CBP detained multiple cruise ship workers at San Diego Port

In a statement sent to ABC 10News on May 6, a Customs and Border Protection spokesperson said:

“Between April 23 and April 27, U.S. Customs and Border Protection boarded eight cruise ships as part of ongoing Child Sexual Exploitation Material enforcement operations.

After boarding the vessels and interviewing 26 suspected crew members from the Philippines, one suspected crew member from Portugal, and one from Indonesia, officers confirmed that 27 of the 28 subjects were involved in either the receipt, possession, transportation, distribution, or viewing of CSEM or child pornography.

CBP cancelled their visas and these criminals have been returned to their country of citizenship.”

A 'disruptive' passenger has been restrained and removed from a Qantas flight bound for Sydney.

Cabin crew on board flight QF654 from Perth requested assistance from Australian Federal Police ahead of touching down at Sydney Domestic Airport on Wednesday morning.

It's understood fellow passengers helped crews to restrain a man who was acting erratically during the five-hour flight.

An AFP spokesperson confirmed officers removed a passenger from the plane.

'More information will be provided at an appropriate time,' an AFP spokesman told Daily Mail.

PERTH- Qantas (QF) removed a disruptive passenger from a Perth (PER) to Sydney (SYD) service after cabin crew requested police support.

Australian Federal Police met flight QF654 on arrival and escorted the individual from the aircraft without confirming any arrest or charges.

The incident began when a male passenger displayed erratic behavior during the five-hour flight from Perth to Sydney. Cabin crew attempted to manage the situation and requested assistance from nearby passengers, who helped restrain the individual until landing.
