    Initially graded as careless with medium impact and high contact, the Pies argued it was not careless (trying to get it thrown out) and low impact (trying to get it downgraded, if it wasn’t thrown out entirely).

    Magpies to challenge Frampton ban at the Tribunal

    COLLINGWOOD will head to the Tribunal to challenge the one-match ban for rough conduct handed to Billy Frampton.

    The defender was charged for a dangerous tackle on North Melbourne's Matt Whitlock during Friday night's clash at Marvel Stadium.

    Frampton ran down the Roos forward in the goal square midway through the fourth quarter as the game hung in the balance, with Whitlock appearing to hit his head on the turf in the incident.

    Meanwhile, Magpies teammate Jack Crisp escaped not only suspension but any match review penalty after his tackle that left North Melbourne's Tom Blamires concussed.
