New York | Major American television networks, including Donald Trump’s favoured broadcaster Fox News, have agreed to suspend their coverage of the White House to protest the president’s ban on CNN and two other outlets.
The White House removed CNN from the schedule for the Monday (Tuesday AEST) pool, a regular rotation of broadcasters that covers the White House and shares footage with news organisations around the world. This enacts the ban on the network that Trump announced on Friday, along with rival broadcaster MS Now and online outlet Politico.
