    Port Adelaide's three-time best and fairest winner Zak Butters has requested to leave the club via free agency and return home to Victoria.

    The 25-year-old dual All-Australian's future has dominated headlines all season with reports of offers of up to $18 million over eight years from Richmond, Geelong, Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs.

    ZAK Butters has officially informed Port Adelaide he will be leaving the club via free agency.

    After more than a year of conjecture about his future, Butters' brilliant career at Alberton Oval is over as it was confirmed on Monday that Port's No.9 would be exercising his free agency rights to return to Victoria this off-season.

    Butters has not yet nominated a club, with Geelong, the Western Bulldogs, Richmond and Collingwood all chasing his services across this year.

    All have made club record offers to Butters, with his move to a rival as hotly contested as any of the major trade moves this century, including Chris Judd's trade from West Coast to Carlton at the end of 2007.

    The search for an infant boy at Port MacDonnell following a suspected murder-suicide has ended.

    Police say it is now unlikely three-month-old Lewis's body will ever be found.

    Local police have called for an end to "rubbish" speculation on social media, warning about the damage it could do to loved ones.

    Police have stopped formal efforts to recover the body of an infant boy in SA's south-east, more than a fortnight after a suspected murder-suicide.

    The bodies of 36-year-old Helena Wright and her 23-month-old daughter Hazel were recovered on July 27, but three-month-old Lewis was not found.

    'Grim reality': Search for baby suspended as top cop blasts online chatter

    Police have ended the search for the body of a 3-month-old baby after a fatal incident in South Australia involving the mother and her two children – and blasted the online rumours about the case.

    Helena Wright fell from the cliffs at Cape Northumberland near Port MacDonnell on July 27
    while carrying her children, Hazel, 23 months, and Lewis, aged 3 months.

    Local fishermen found the bodies of Wright and Hazel in the water at the base of the cliffs. However, baby Lewis was not found despite extensive search efforts.

    Investigators found Wright’s Isuzu SUV parked at the top of the cliff with the engine still running. Authorities have since confirmed they are treating the case as a murder-suicide investigation.

    NORTH Melbourne impressed with a spirited showing in a rare primetime slot, but was left to rue not quite mastering the big moments against the battle-hardened Collingwood.

    The Roos' third single-figure defeat this year will make it hard for them to snatch a finals spot with a horror run home that includes games against three current top-six sides as well as Geelong, beginning with Melbourne.

    Melbourne continued its flawless run at the MCG as it brushed aside Richmond for a ninth straight victory at the venue this season.

    The Demons still have little margin for error in the race for a top-six finish with a tricky run home that begins with the improving Kangaroos at their preferred venue, and includes the Cats, Fremantle and Western Bulldogs, as well as Gold Coast and Port Adelaide both on the road. 

    Carr on opportunity, midfield balance and O’Brien debut

    Port Adelaide senior coach Josh Carr said the opportunity for his young side against the best team in the competition is something they’re looking forward to. 

    With six changes to the team ahead of Saturday’s Fremantle clash, Carr has added 19-year-old debutant Balyn O’Brien to the side. 

    Speaking to the Adelaide media on Friday, Carr discussed the challenge ahead, the midfield balance and the season so far.

    Carr on Lachie Jones and Kane Farrell “Yeah, Lachie will play. Had a nice little fitness test before, and he's pretty excited about getting out there. Faz isn't going to play. Not sure what it will look like for the rest of the year, at this stage, it's probably unlikely that he will play again this year. We've been chasing our tail a bit with it, and where we sit right now, we’ve just got to give the time to try and get it right. It's like a osteitis pubis sort of scenario with him, and he just gets to a certain point and doesn't have any power. And we've tried obviously over the last few weeks to get that right, but at this stage it's not looking that great for the rest of the year.

    Live: Port forced into last-minute line-up switch ahead of Dockers clash

    The 'dockside derby' between Port Adelaide and Fremantle kicks off a big Saturday of football ahead of tonight's clash of old rivals Collingwood and Carlton.

    The injury-hit Power are all but out of finals contention, but they could put a small dent in the Dockers' run to the minor premiership with a win at Adelaide Oval.

    Tonight, the Blues will need a win over the Magpies at the MCG to stay in touch with the top-10. The late game in Perth sees West Coast host Brisbane.

    That was a third quarter befitting of the AFL's ladder leaders!

    The Dockers slammed on 6.2 to Port's 1.1 for the quarter to turn a 12-point half-time deficit into a 19-point three-quarter time lead.

    Port Adelaide held firm to secure a 21-point win over North Melbourne at Adelaide Oval.

    IT WASN’T pretty on the eye, but Port Adelaide did enough to secure an important 21-point victory over North Melbourne at Adelaide Oval.

    In a game which lacked flow, thanks in part to a heavy free-kick count (37-33 in favour of Port Adelaide), Josh Carr’s men ground their way to a 10.13 (73) to 7.10 (52) win.

    With scores level at three-quarter time, the Power kicked the only three goals of the final term to extend North Melbourne’s miserable Adelaide Oval record.

    The first term in particular was played in stark contrast to the intensity of Port Adelaide’s emphatic Showdown win last weekend, as both sides found scoring a real chore.

    Call Of Duty Black Ops 1 And 2 Are Finally Coming To PS5/PS4

    It’s been rumoured for a little while but Treyarch has confirmed that Call Of Duty Black Ops and Call Of Duty Black Ops 1 and 2 are officially coming to PS5 and PS4 in July.

    Two of the most iconic Call Of Duty games of all time have been locked in PS3 jail (among many of other games), but that will all change next month with both games being ported to PlayStation consoles by Iron Galaxy.

    Both of the games will include campaign, multiplayer and zombies suggesting the full experience is on the way. In terms of whether the games will be a straight one for one port, or have other enhancements, that’s still to be determined.

    TEAM: Two forced changes for Port Adelaide

    Joel Hamling and Harry Cunningham come into the side for Round 14 against Port Adelaide.

    Senior Coach Dean Cox has been forced to make two injury-related changes to his Sydney Swans side that will travel to face Port Adelaide Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval.

    Justin McInerney (hamstring tear) will face an extended period on the sidelines after leaving the field in the opening half of the Swans two-point win over St Kilda last Sunday with the winger set to be out for a period of 8-10 weeks. 

    Defender Tom McCartin (concussion) will also not feature in South Australia this weekend as he continues to work through the AFL concussion protocols following his heavy collision with Saints forward Liam Ryan in the third term in the game against the Saints.

    Ever since Liam Rosenior was appointed in January, there has always been an element of Chelsea fans who don't think Rosenior is the right man to take them forward – but losing their past four games in a row in all competitions has certainly not helped his cause.

    Yes, you can say they have been beaten by European champions Paris St-Germain in two of those matches, but I still expected them to get a result at home to Newcastle and then Everton absolutely blew them away.

    A Sunshine Coast man is rejoicing after being informed he’s a Lucky Lotteries winner.

    The Sunrise Beach local was told he had scooped $200,000 in Mega Jackpot draw 1769, which was drawn on Wednesday, February 18.

    “I’m a very happy man,” he said when an official from The Lott rang to confirm his prize.

    “This is honestly the best phone call I’ve ever received. I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries since I was 18 years old.

    “I’ve had a few $1,000 wins here and there, but this on a whole other level.”

    A kind-hearted Maitland mum can’t wait to pay her hefty $200,000 windfall forward.

    After winning the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot on Friday 20 February, the Lower Hunter resident plans to support her family and local animal sanctuaries with her prize.

    But, incredibly, the woman had no inkling such a bounty was headed her way.

    “Am I dreaming? I just pinched myself, and I felt it! I’m not dreaming.

    The generous mother admitted she was “so grateful” to receive the news.
