Women's freeski halfpipe final postponed due to heavy snow

Steady snow forced a one-day postponement to the women's freeski halfpipe final, the last Winter Olympic event due to take place in the Alpine town of Livigno, Italy, organizers said.

The event was moved from Saturday evening (1:30 p.m. ET) to Sunday morning (4:40 a.m. ET).

Snow fell for several hours throughout men's ski cross, which limited visibility and slowed skiers on the slopes. Livigno is located in northern Italy near the border with Switzerland.

China's Eileen Gu, a San Francisco native, is set to defend her gold medal in the halfpipe when the event gets underway. Other top contenders include qualifiers leader Zoe Atkin of Britain and China's Li Fanghui.

No event is safe. Even indoor curling has been delayed by bad weather in Italy

Curling, yes curling, was delayed Thursday by bad weather conditions in Cortina, Italy.

Heavy snow has repeatedly pushed back a number of Winter Olympic events this week — not an uncommon byproduct of holding outdoor sporting events during the winter.

The men's aerials competition had been scheduled for Thursday morning but will now be held on Friday. Men's freeski halfpipe qualifiers was also taken off the schedule. Freestyle ski was pushed back to later in the day.

The start of Thursday's women's curling matches were pushed back nearly 30 minutes. The indoor event had to be delayed because teams struggled to get to the venue on time because of the snow.

Australia's last medal hope at the Milano Cortina Winter Games, Indra Brown, was forced to wait a little longer for her crack at a maiden Olympic podium finish.

Heavy and consistent snowfall in Livigno meant that the women's freeski halfpipe was moved from its original time of 5:30am AEDT to 8:40pm Sunday evening, with organisers unable to "prepare the pipe in a safe and fair condition".

Keefe D’s Tupac Murder Trial Postponed to August 2026

The long-running case surrounding Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder has taken another turn. Duane Keith “Keefe D” Davis’ trial has officially been pushed back due an overwhelming flood of new evidence.

KSNV reports that a Las Vegas District Court Judge set a new date for the trial to begin on August 10, 2026. The trial was initially scheduled to begin on February 9, 2026. Keefe D’s attorney, Robert Draskovich, told the court that the discovered material is “voluminous” and requires significantly more time to review. Prosecutors did not oppose the request.

Keefe D, 60 has been behind bars at the Clark County Detention Center since his 2023 arrest. He is accused of orchestrating the drive-by shooting that killed Tupac near the Las Vegas Strip nearly three decades ago.

Nearly three decades after the fatal shooting of Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas, the case is finally headed to trial, with Duane “Keefe D” Davis as the accused. The saga, which has transfixed the hip-hop world and beyond, has been marked by rumors, shifting alliances, and long-standing questions about justice and accountability. As of late 2025, Davis is set to stand trial for first-degree murder in February 2026, a pivotal moment in one of music’s most enduring mysteries.

    Who is Keefe D?
Duane “Keefe D” Davis is a former South Los Angeles gang member whose name has hovered around the Tupac case for years. He is not a household name like Tupac or Suge Knight, but within certain circles, Davis’s story is well-known. His connection to the 1996 drive-by shooting that killed Tupac Shakur has been the subject of both police investigations and pop culture speculation, fueled by Davis’s own statements to law enforcement and the media.

When Netflix released The Reckoning last week viewers immediately reacted to footage of Duane Keefe D Davis talking about the killing of Tupac Shakur. The internet buzzed with people asking when he filmed the interview and why he chose to speak during such a tense moment for Diddy. What many did not realize is that nothing they heard in the documentary was new.
