‘Harry Potter’ First Look: The Wizarding World of Hogwarts Is Revealed
Welcome to Hogwarts! A first look at the fictional school of witchcraft and wizardry from HBO’s upcoming “Harry Potter” series has finally been unveiled.
The photo, posted to the show’s official Instagram page, shows Harry (Dominic McLaughlin) from behind as he walks towards the quidditch pitch while wearing a red and gold cloak, which represents Hogwarts’ Gryffindor house and has his last name and player number on the back. Ahead of him is a large group of students entering the pitch, which is displaying flags for Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. See the full photo below.
Mara LePere-Schloop, a production designer whose credits include “Interview With the Vampire” and “Pachinko,” is behind the look of the school for the new series.
HARRY POTTER Set Videos Reveal Hogwarts School Concept Art And First Look At New School Crest
As we first told you yesterday, several influencers were recently invited to the set of HBO's Harry Potter. They shared videos from the UK's Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, primarily focused on their excited faces as they explored parts of the rebooted Wizarding World.
There were several blink and you'd miss them reveals, though, including a blurry glimpse at concept art for the all-new Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
We see part of the castle (it once again appears to be elevated on a cliff face) along with the Quidditch pitch, which will be a big part of Harry's story as he becomes the school's youngest-ever Seeker. Given the low quality of these images, it's hard to make any definitive conclusions, but this clearly isn't the same Hogwarts featured in the movies.
