Carrie Bickmore ready to be roasted for new primetime show Glenn & Mick’s Celebrity Intervention

It’s been four years since Carrie Bickmore said goodbye to her long-standing role as host of Ten’s now-defunct news program, The Project.

But next week the Perth-born celeb will return to prime time TV as the first confirmed guest on Seven’s new satirical show, Glenn & Mick’s Celebrity Intervention.

The series sees Aussie comedy legends Glenn Robbins and Mick Molloy put a well-known personality under the spotlight, staging a lighthearted “intervention” in front of an assembled audience.

Bickmore, who this year was nominated for Australian Of The Year for her charity work for the Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer charity, will be their first guest.

Airdate: Glenn & Mick’s Celebrity Intervention

Seven has given Glenn & Mick’s Celebrity Intervention a prime 7.30pm Monday slot on Seven from next week.

Each week, Glenn Robbins, Mick Molloy and a special guest co-host invite the celebrity’s closest friends, family and colleagues to revisit their highs, their lows and the moments they’d rather forget from their life and career.

Carrie Bickmore is the first episode guest in the studio where Glenn, Mick and guest co-host Kate Langbroek confront her with some brutal home truths – and a few surprise appearances.

Further episodes will feature Dr. Chris Brown, Sam Pang, Guy Sebastian and more.

'Feels like we’re getting ready for Game 8': Blue Jays to host Dodgers in World Series rematch

Last November, Miguel Rojas experienced the kind of moment that kids dream about while playing baseball in the backyard: He saved his team's season with a game-tying homer in the ninth inning of Game 7 of the World Series, setting the stage for Los Angeles' comeback victory.

Five months later, the unlikely hero is anticipating another career milestone of sorts when he and the Dodgers return to Toronto this week.

"It's not like playing in front of our fans, it's playing in front of the whole city that was hopeful to win a World Series," Rojas said. "I'm expecting, for the first time in my life, to get booed when I play there."

It seems like only yesterday when the Dodgers won the World Series by winning the final two games on the road at Rogers Centre in Toronto, including coming back from down two runs in the eighth inning in Game 7, setting of a string of improbable highlights that beat the Blue Jays and brought a second straight championship to Los Angeles.

In actuality, it was 156 days ago that the Dodgers mobbed World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound at Rogers Centre. Now the Dodgers are back in Toronto for a series between two clubs well-equipped to potentially meet again in October.

Dodgers Lineup: Hyeseong Kim Starts First Game of 2026

The Los Angeles Dodgers revealed the lineup for their series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday at 4:05 p.m. PT.

LA is fresh off of a perfect start to their six-game road trip, as they swept the Washington Nationals over the weekend. The bats woke up in the series, as the Dodgers scored 10 or more runs in both of the first two games of the series and overcame a five-run deficit in the final game of the series to win, 8-6.

Hyeseong Kim, who the Dodgers called up to replace the injured Mookie Betts, gets his first start of the season against the right-handed Max Scherzer and will fill in at shortstop.

Starfield composer and long-time Bethesda collaborator Inon Zur has been discussing his decades-spanning work with the studio, sharing his thoughts on "visionary" Bethesda boss Todd Howard, as well as his belief that "people were just not ready for" 2023's divisive space adventure.

Zur's composition credits span an impressive number of game series, including Dragon Age, Crysis, Prince of Persia, and Starcraft. And he's been a regular presence across Bethesda's work too, composing for numerous Fallout games, as well as the likes of Starfield. Zur, speaking with RPGsite.net, recently discussed his relationship with the studio – how, while the team still provides direction for each project, they also "trust me to apply my judgment because they know me so well" – as well as working with Bethesda's Todd Howard.

Starfield, despite having fallen short of lodging itself as firmly in the bit of humanity's collective psyche labelled 'the good shit' in comparison to its Bethesda-made siblings, will still achieve something akin to that at some point. Eventually, the man who composed the space RPG's soundtrack reckons, it'll "become something that will be legendary". Why? Because Todd Howard's big visionary brain cannot be stopped.

"Todd is one, if not the most creative and invigorating human beings in the industry," Starfield and Fallout 4 composer Inon Zur said in recent interview with RPGSite that's especially worth readiing if you're interested in how game soundtracks come together. "He knows how to allow freedom of creativity on one hand, but also how to steer it to his own vision. He is a visionary. He sees things that people will start to find out years later."

Shane Flanagan's task in 2026 is to give his players the belief that they can turn close losses into close wins – and if he succeeds, a finals berth awaits.

Last year, the Dragons lost 10 games by 10 points or less – the most in the NRL. If there can convert even half of those 10 narrow defeats into victories this campaign, they will play finals football.

Avatar: Fire and Ash whisks viewers back to the stunningly realised 3D world of Pandora and reunites us with the Sully clan, as they face another battle with the RDA – who this time have joined forces with some threatening new allies who really up the ante when it comes to the battle scenes.

Reviews of the film have been a little mixed ahead of release, although our own write-up was squarely on the positive side, so it will be interesting to see just how close this latest entry can get to matching the mammoth box office takings of the earlier films.
