For all the intense backlash Lena Dunham received following her first memoir in 2014, “Not That Kind of Girl,” one might think she would be cautious about the stories she chose to share in her second memoir.

But the “Girls” creator didn’t hold back in her long-awaited book, “Famesick,” out Tuesday. One of the biggest headlines to come out of Dunham’s book is undeniably her relationship with “Girls” co-star Adam Driver, who she alleges was “verbally aggressive, condescending and physically imposing.”

Back in 2018, Twitter user @buzzkillary made and posted a 29-slide PowerPoint titled “Lorde and Jack Antonoff — An Emotionally Broken Journey.” The presentation proposed a deeply researched theory that Antonoff had cheated on then-girlfriend Lena Dunham while working with Lorde on her album Melodrama in the years prior. At the time, Dunham and Antonoff had been publicly broken up for four months, and Antonoff had slammed any rumors about him and Lorde as “dumb heteronormative gossip.” Still, as the subtitle of the PowerPoint pointed out, “Lorde and Jack Antonoff 100% Were/Are Being Shady, Are Def Boning if Nothing Else, Lena Sucks Too But This is Bullshit and The People Deserve The Truth.” Eight years later, it seems like @buzzkillary may be getting what they wanted in the form of Dunham’s new memoir, Famesick.

Lena Dunham Gives Taylor Swift Sweet Acknowledgment in New Memoir: ‘You Sing the Songs I Wrote This Book To’

The pair have been friends for years, with the pop star serving as a bridesmaid for the actress in 2021.

A book acknowledgement is one of the greatest honors an author can bestow upon a loved one, and Lena Dunham just did so for Taylor Swift.

Actor, producer and author Dunham released her second memoir Famesick on Tuesday, and toward the end of the book, add a list of acknowledgements to the most important people in her life who helped her get the memoir published. Included in the names is Taylor Swift, who Dunham refers to as “TayTay.”

“TayTay — you sing the songs I wrote this book to, the stories that pulled these stories out of me, the music that makes the whole world feel seen,” Dunham writes. “And yet somehow, miraculously, you also pick up every desperate call at every desperate hour.”

"No one said a word, and Rob went up to Jack Nicholson and whispered in his ear, 'Do you want to do another one?' And Jack Nicholson said, 'Well, we're here,'" Sutherland told CBS News in the upcoming special "CBS News: Rob Reiner – Scenes from a Life," airing Sunday. "So they did another one, and it was just as extraordinary."
