Summer 2026 Is Giving Fans Two New Anime Worthy of Replacing Naruto and Solo Leveling

2026 has been one of the most interesting years for anime in recent years. Each season so far this year has come with its own pattern. The Winter 2026 season brought back major anime with new seasons, including Jujutsu Kaisen, Frieren, Hell’s Paradise, and many others. Meanwhile, the Spring season proved to be a strong period for new anime debuts, as fans got to see Witch Hat Atelier and Daemons of the Shadow Realm. Now, the Summer 2026 season has continued its own pattern and emerged as distinct for two different reasons. The first is how the season has featured two different anime with adult themes.

Crunchyroll's Solo Leveling Replacement Keeps Doing One Thing Better Than Solo Leveling

Since the start of the Summer season, Crunchyroll has been streaming an anime that has been dubbed an anime like Solo Leveling due to its similar appearance and premise. As new episodes of Tomb Raider King continue to be released, the anime has proven itself to be a worthy replacement for Solo Leveling in its absence, one that fans of the original will no doubt appreciate if they love Solo Leveling. While Tomb Raider King doesn’t have the same charm as Solo Leveling and its execution is not as precise, the anime has been building its own narrative. Although Tomb Raider King essentially inherits Solo Leveling‘s foundation, particularly its power system centered around leveling up, the anime has also established its own identity.

Australia risks repeating Britain’s two decades of stagnation

Falling real wages and stagnant productivity threaten to turn Australia’s temporary living standards slump into a long-term British-style crisis.

The five-year erosion of Australians’ real incomes risks hardening into the same prolonged stagnation that has plagued Britain for nearly two decades – and unleashed its populist right-wing politics.  Bethany Rae

Anthony Albanese called Andy Burnham this week to congratulate the new British prime minister, but beneath the warm feelings and kind words, both Labo(u)r leaders seem to underestimate the sheer scale of the economic challenge ahead.

As inflation eats away at real wages on both sides of the globe, the response from London and Canberra looks remarkably similar: both centre-left prime ministers are falling back on an old economic playbook from the 1970s.

Australia on track for weakest living standards growth in more than a century

Australia is facing its weakest decade of living standards growth since the 1910s, with GDP per person rising just 4 per cent so far this decade amid stagnant productivity, high inflation and weak wage growth.

Former Reserve Bank governor Philip Lowe warned the prolonged decline was “the fundamental economic problem the country faces” and said Australia needed major policy changes to encourage businesses to invest, expand and hire.

“Our living standards have stagnated, there has been no net growth in per capita incomes for seven or eight years – that’s after per capita income rising 1.5 per cent a year for nearly three decades,” Lowe said.

Ash Gardner says the Australians focused on their own game during the series-opening win over India.

Australia scored a six-wicket victory over India in Brisbane on Tuesday.

Australia faces India in the second match of the series at Hobart's Bellerive Oval.

Ash Gardner has described Australia's series-opening win against India as the "perfect performance" ahead of Friday's second ODI match between the two sides in Hobart.

After India trumped its hosts 2-1 in the T20 series, Australia hit back with a comprehensive six-wicket win in the first 50-match in Brisbane on Tuesday.

Adaptability key as Aussies look to build on 'perfect start' to ODIs

Australia are hunting consecutive wins in what has been a rollercoaster multi-format series, while India captain Harmanpreet Kaur is expected to be fit for Friday's second ODI

Australia are looking to seize momentum as the multi-format series against India shifts to Hobart, following what allrounder Ashleigh Gardner dubbed a "kind of perfect performance" in the opening one-dayer.

The Aussies and India have traded wins so far across the multi-format series, which is tied at four points apiece, with the hosts playing catch-up after dropping the first and third T20Is.

India, meanwhile, are confident captain Harmanpreet Kaur will be fit to feature in the second ODI, after she sat out the tourists' fielding innings in Brisbane with a knee complaint, with allrounder Deepti Sharma on Friday declaring her skipper was "fit and fine".

After a "perfect performance", Australia's women's cricketers will continue an insular approach against India in their limited-overs series, allrounder Ash Gardner says.

After India trumped their hosts 2-1 in the T20 series, Australia hit back with a comprehensive six-wicket win in the opener of the 50-over series in Brisbane.

Gardner rated that display in Brisbane as "kind of a perfect performance", and hopes for a repeat in game two in Hobart on Saturday.
