Queensland MP Amanda Camm has stepped down as a cabinet frontbencher.

The member for Whitsunday held two portfolios in the Crisafulli LNP government, standing as Families, Seniors and Disability Services Minister, and Child Safety and the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence Minister.

Camm said she informed Premier David Crisafulli of her resignation late on Thursday and the decision was “mine and mine alone”.

She said the attack on Helen Haines also affected her decision, as did her recovery from recent surgery.

Camm has been under fire in recent months and under mounting pressure to step down.

Embattled frontbencher Amanda Camm has announced she will step down as Queensland's child safety and domestic and family violence minister.

The Whitsunday MP has faced months of intense scrutiny, including over children in residential care sleeping on the floor of child safety offices, and cuts to the DFV prevention sector in the latest state budget.

The ABC understands Ms Camm's resignation will trigger a mini reshuffle in the Queensland cabinet, the first movement in the frontbench since David Crisafulli came to power in 2024.

Accountant resigns after being paid $5k for 5 months of work

An accountant who took home just $5,000 in five months has won over $10,000 in compensation.

The Fair Work Commission has awarded compensation to an employee who resigned after not being paid his wages and superannuation entitlements for five months.

Although the company did not expressly terminate his employment, the commission ruled that it had dismissed him by repudiating the contract by its failure to pay wage entitlements.

The worker was employed as a management accountant at Dilato Investments from late 2013 until his employment ended in early 2026.

Dilato is an investment company for a family office and had only two employees at the time.

Arthur Tzaneros resigns from ACFS over WhatsApp comments

Arthur Tzaneros, the chief executive of embattled logistics company ACFS Port Logistics, has resigned from his role at the company over comments made in a WhatsApp group about a sexual assault case involving Scots College.
