Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo: We're like a couple of naughty school kids

Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo are no strangers to sharing the screen, having previously starred together in Marvel films such as Thor and Hulk.

Now the pair have reunited for a very different type of film.

They are starring alongside each other in Crime 101, a tense thriller that swaps superhero spectacle for a game of psychological cat and mouse.

Speaking at the premiere, Hemsworth told the BBC that their long-standing friendship brought both energy and challenges to the set.

"The two of us get together and we're like a couple of naughty kids at school that need to be wrangled to be focused," he said.

‘Crime 101’ Director Bart Layton On His Stellar LA-Set Crime Drama

Bart Layton made his feature debut in 2018 with American Animals, a great hybrid true-crime story that used doc techniques to tell the story of a supposedly victimless art heist that went terribly wrong. It had a mixed reception at the US box office, largely because American audiences felt the film didn’t offer a very flattering portrait of its country’s youth. “I’m not sure as many people saw it as I would have loved,” Layton admits. “But what was kind of surprising about that film was that I guess — certainly for actors — it was admired. And so, I guess they loved it enough to want to connect with me and work with me.”

Almost Everyone Looked Good at the “Crime 101″ UK Premiere

This movie looks terrible — Hems is a jewel thief, there are chases, Halle Berry is there, if it were 10 years ago, I’d def watch on a plane — but at least we get to see Barry Keoghan here with his Ringo Starr hair. Spoiler: IT LOOKS INSANE. I am, on a related note, bummed that the makers of this film’s trailer did not take the opportunity to point out that every single person in this movie either has an Oscar, or is an Academy Award Nominee other than Chris Hemsworth. (No offense to the Hems, who seems like a good dude.)

Stars Align for Live Reading of 'All the President's Men' Honoring Redford

Mark Ruffalo and Ethan Hawke are set to headline a one-night live reading of the political drama 'All the President's Men' in Los Angeles, The Hollywood Reporter announced. This special event, scheduled for January 9 at the Harmony Gold Theatre, aims to raise funds for the Stella Adler Academy of Acting & Theatre.

The night will pay tribute to Robert Redford, who played a pivotal role in the original film adaptation, receiving an Academy Award nomination. Joining Ruffalo and Hawke for this performance are a talented ensemble, including Michael John Benzaia, Don Cheadle, and others, The Hollywood Reporter detailed.

The production revives William Goldman's Oscar-winning screenplay based on Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein's book. It chronicles the critical investigative work during the Nixon era that led to the Watergate scandal exposure. Though Redford passed away in September, his legacy endures as the film emphasizes the vital importance of journalistic freedom in democracy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
