Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards Injury Report Rules Out 14 Players

The Utah Jazz and Washington Wizards are rolling into their second of two matchups for this season as each wrap up their final 10 games of the year, and both will be dealing with some seriously depleted lineups before tip-off.

In all, a grand total of 14 players have already been ruled out for the action–– a number that could increase before gametime.

Here's what to expect in terms of injuries for both the Jazz and Wizards for Wednesday:

The Jazz will be dealing with some major injuries both in their starting lineup and down their rotation.

The biggest names that stick out on the report besides their usual suspects from the past couple of weeks like Keyonte George, Lauri Markkanen is the status of each of their second-year players: Isaiah Collier, Kyle Filipowski, and Cody Wiliams.

Filipowski is likely to be sidelined due to an illness. Oscar Tshiebwe should see more run in his place.

Warriors Make Al Horford Announcement Before Jazz Game

The Golden State Warriors will once again lean heavily on Draymond Green in the frontcourt after two veteran big men were ruled out ahead of Monday night’s matchup with the Utah Jazz.

Veteran center Al Horford will sit out due to left toe injury management, according to the NBA’s official injury report. He joins Kristaps Porziņģis on the sidelines, with the Latvian big man also ruled out because of illness management.

The simultaneous absences leave Golden State thin in the frontcourt and force coach Steve Kerr to rely once again on Green to anchor the interior as the Warriors try to keep pace in the tightly packed Western Conference playoff race.

Paceman Hazlewood ruled out of T20 World Cup

Australia to go into a World Cup without a big three quick for the first time since 2011

Australia have been dealt another significant blow to their T20 World Cup hopes, with veteran paceman Josh Hazlewood ruled out of the tournament.

Having not played a match since injuring his hamstring in the Sheffield Shield on November 12, Hazlewood was initially named in the World Cup squad despite him remaining in Sydney when the group assembled in Sri Lanka this week.

But just five days out from the Aussies' opening match against Ireland in Colombo, national selector Tony Dodemaide said the outlook for the 35-year-old has now changed.

Smith ruled out of Adelaide Test on dramatic morning

Usman Khawaja recalled to bat in place of Steve Smith, who is unwell and out of the third Test

Steve Smith has been sensationally ruled out of the third Ashes Test with a recurrence of the superstar batter's inner ear issues sidelining him on Wednesday morning.

Usman Khawaja has been recalled and will bat at No.4 in a dramatic last-minute twist for the home side as a devastated Smith departed Adelaide Oval 20 minutes before the toss, won by Australia who opted to bat first.

Australia XI: Travis Head, Jake Weatherald, Marnus Labuschagne, Usman Khawaja, Cameron Green, Alex Carey (wk), Josh Inglis, Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Scott Boland

David Warner has backed Usman Khawaja to keep defying Father Time, and does not envy the decision his great mate has left Australia’s selectors to ponder before they name their team for the Boxing Day Test.

Just when it appeared Khawaja’s Test career was over after the veteran left-hander was overlooked for the third Ashes Test in Adelaide, he was tossed a last-minute lifeline to replace Steve Smith, who was forced to withdraw due to vertigo.
