    1 – Tom Latham and Devon Conway became the first opening pair in first-class history to make hundreds in both innings of a match. This is also only the fourth instance of a pair of batters from a team getting hundreds in each innings of a Test. The previous instance was Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis against Bangladesh in Sylhet in 2024. Azhar Ali and Misbah-ul-Haq was only the second such pair, and the first in over 40 years of Tests, when they did this against Australia in Abu Dhabi in 2014. The first such pair was Ian and Greg Chappell who achieved this against New Zealand in Wellington in 1974.

    Hodge's century helps Windies take fight to NZ

    Kavem Hodge has scored an unbeaten century in an anchor role as West Indies dug in with the bat again on the third day of the third Test against New Zealand.

    Hodge was 109 not out at stumps in Mount Maunganui on Saturday with Anderson Phillip on 12 and the tourists at 6-381, having avoided the follow on as they replied to New Zealand's 8-575.

    They achieved that goal even without first Test century-maker Shai Hope who has been out of action for the past two days with an unspecified illness.

    Jake Paul faced backlash over his glove selection for his bout with Mike Tyson last year – but he still failed to secure a knockout against the boxing icon.

    Paul won against Tyson by decision, though the then 58-year-old Tyson only managed to connect with 18 punches versus Paul's 78. The one-sided boxing contest drew sharp criticism, with former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew leading the charge.

    Taking to social media, Bellew, a vocal critic of Paul, vented: "The gloves Mike has on are looking heavily padded while Jake has on Grants, which are full on puncher's gloves. There is a huge difference in them gloves, and I'm only watching from a bed."
