SANTA CLARA, Calif. — After a week of quarterback-centric discussion leading in to Super Bowl LX, it was Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III who had the biggest offensive impact on the outcome Sunday night.

Buoyed by a first-half surge in which he outgained the entire New England Patriots offense, Walker earned Most Valuable Player honors as the Seahawks ran to a 29-13 victory and the franchise's second Lombardi Trophy.

There’s almost no good time for a sports fanatic to hear about the potential sale of their team, but it’s hard to imagine a worse time to hear it than right after that team earns a trip to the Super Bowl. Super Bowl 60 takes place Feb. 8 between the Seahawks and New England Patriots.

The Patriots have a well-known owner, Robert Kraft. Meanwhile, the Seahawks' ownership is unconventional compared to some other teams in the NFL.

The Seahawks are owned by the Paul G. Allen Trust, the estate of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. Allen bought the Seahawks in 1997, according to ESPN, and remained the owner until he died in 2018. Allen's sister, Jody Allen, is the trustee and executor of the estate and is in control of the team.

The Los Angeles Rams (11-3) enter their Week 16 "Thursday Night Football" game at the Seattle Seahawks (11-3) as the No. 1 seed in the NFC West and in the conference. Thursday's game could alter that with the Seahawks on their tail.

The Rams clinched a playoff berth last week but are playing for the No. 1 overall seed and a wild-card round bye. The Seahawks can clinch a playoff berth with a win Thursday or a Detroit Lions loss vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

The game came down to a 61-yard field goal attempt from Seattle kicker Jason Myers, which he missed as time expired.

NFL Thursday Night Football preview: Rams at Seahawks is a game of the year candidate

We might look back and realize that the winner of Super Bowl LX was actually determined during a monumental NFC West clash in Week 16.

That’s how big the second meeting this season between the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks could be. There is a very good chance that the No. 1 playoff seed in the NFC will come from one of these two teams, both of which are 11-3. And the team that wins will have pole position with two games left.

On top of that, as the season has gone on, most rankings have placed the Seahawks and Rams as the two best teams in the NFL, in some order. It’s arguable that this is the best game of the entire NFL regular season, unless that title went to the first meeting between the teams.
