Outcome review – Keanu Reeves sends himself up in Jonah Hill’s Hollywood satire

Hill writes and directs in-joke and insider-laden spoof about a nice-guy mega-star actor hiding a drug addiction, whose career is threatened when he’s blackmailed over a compromising video

The famous paparazzi shot of Keanu Reeves sitting alone on a bench spawned “sad Keanu”; this comedy gives us “sad asshole Keanu”. It’s a Hollywood in-joke, in a film written and directed by Jonah Hill who has persuaded his actor mates to appear, including Reeves, who plays Reef Hawk, one of the most well-known actors in the world. Like Reeves, he has a reputation for being Hollywood’s nicest celebrity: kind, humble, possibly vegan. But under the saintly exterior, Reef is a narcissist recovering from a messy heroin addiction, which has been covered up for years by his crisis lawyer Ira (played by Hill with a shaved head and terrifying veneers).

Jonah Hill and Martin Scorsese on Gossip, Cancellation, and Why It Had to Be Keanu

Jonah Hill wears Shirt Dior. Tank Top Varsity Los Angeles. Glasses and Watch (worn throughout) Jonah’s Own.

Jonah Hill has been famous long enough to have been celebrated, scrutinized, written off, and underestimated. For most of his adult life, he’s been one of the most recognizable faces in American movies and he’s absorbed the good, the bad, and the ugly that comes with it. That dynamic—between the public and the private, the person and the persona—informs every scene of Outcome, his second narrative feature as both writer and director. In the dark comedy, Keanu Reeves plays a beloved movie star whose carefully maintained public image is about to come undone, unless he can do something about it. When Hill connected with none other than Martin Scorsese, who directed him in The Wolf of Wall Street and makes an appearance in Outcome, celebrity, cancellation, and the American sport of tearing down its heroes were all on his mind.

Tillman double sends Leverkusen through to Champions League playoffs

Malik Tillman scored twice, and Alejandro Grimaldo added a third as Bayer Leverkusen cruised to a 3-0 victory against already-eliminated Villarreal to secure a seeded spot in the Champions League play-off round.

    Goals: 1-0 Tillman 12’, 2-0 Tillman 35’ (assist: Schick), 3-0 Grimaldo 57’ (assist: Vázquez)

Leverkusen headed into their final Champions League league phase fixture knowing that victory would guarantee them a place in the play-offs. Sitting 20th in the standings before kick-off, Kasper Hjulmand's side were determined to secure their progression against a Villarreal team that had collected just one point from their previous seven matches. The hosts entered the contest with confidence after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga at the weekend, while the Spanish visitors, despite occupying fourth spot in La Liga, arrived after a 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid.

Americans Abroad: Malik Tillman steals the show as Tim Weah, Ricardo Pepi and Sergino Dest exit Champions League

GOAL takes a look at how American soccer's stars fared on a chaotic final day of the group stage

With every Champions League match kicking off at the same time, chaos was inevitable – and it delivered, especially for the Americans involved in the final night of the group stage. Eighteen matches unfolded simultaneously, with 32 of the 36 teams still alive and fighting for spots in the knockout round.

Every member of the U.S. men's national team active in the competition entered Wednesday with hope for advancing, but there wouldn't be room for everyone. While many of the USMNT's top stars will now look towards the upcoming knockout rounds, some saw their Champions League journeys end before the calendar hits February, and for one American in particular, it ended in the most shocking of ways.

London: Europe faces a spiralling dispute with Donald Trump over his demand for Greenland after the US President warned that he no longer felt obliged to pursue peace because he did not receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

In a leaked letter that stunned observers, Trump told Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre that the peace prize decision was a factor in his thinking about gaining control of the Arctic territory.

The message heightens fears about Trump authorising drastic action to pursue his claim to Greenland despite moves from European leaders to oppose his demand and discuss a possible trade retaliation against the US at a meeting in Brussels on Thursday.

Trump ties Greenland demands to Nobel Prize in message to Norway leader

US President Donald Trump has said he no longer feels obliged to think only of peace after he did not receive the Nobel Peace Prize, as he again repeated his demand for control of Greenland.

In a message to Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Trump blamed the country for not giving him the prize.

In his reply to Trump, Støre explained that an independent committee, not the government of Norway, awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in October to Venezuela's opposition leader María Corina Machado.

CBS News, the BBC's US partner, confirmed the message and its contents.

Morocco Coach Sends Message to Real Madrid About Brahim Díaz Ahead of AFCON 2025 Final

Brahim Díaz has lost prominence under Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid, but his performances at AFCON 2025 have been outstanding. The midfielder is currently the tournament’s top scorer and could return to Madrid as African champion.

Ahead of the final against Senegal, Regragui made it clear that Brahim Díaz will return to Real Madrid with greater match rhythm and confidence, giving him the tools to compete for a bigger role.

“I’m happy that Brahim will return to Real Madrid with many more minutes and confident that he will compete to earn a place, but first he has to finish the job tomorrow, which is important for him and for us,” the coach explained.

Brahim Diaz has shown his class at AFCON – now Morocco's star forward deserves a bigger role at Real Madrid

Before heading off to represent Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations, Brahim Diaz thanked Real Madrid fans for all of their support in 2025 before adding, "See you all next year, full of excitement." However, the player and his club's supporters could not be experiencing more contrasting starts to 2026. While Brahim was bursting with joy after Morocco beat Nigeria on penalties on Wednesday to move just one win away from ending the nation's 50-year wait for a second AFCON title, Madridistas were exploding with rage after watching their team suffer a second demoralising defeat in five days.

What happens next at Real after the humiliating Copa del Rey exit at Albacete is anyone's guess, given their new rookie coach Alvaro Arbeloa unsurprisingly looks far less-equipped than esteemed predecessor Xabi Alonso to restore order at the Bernabeu, meaning it's very hard to predict that the long-term future holds for Brahim – or anyone else at the club for that matter.

Brahim Diaz closer to Africa Cup of Nations Golden Boot ahead of final

It is rare in Africa Cup of Nations history to see as many as five players still in contention for the tournament’s Golden Boot, providing an intriguing subplot ahead of this weekend’s final and third-place play-off.

Morocco’s Brahim Díaz leads the scoring charts with five goals from six matches for the hosts, where he has been a driving force in their run to Sunday’s final against Senegal in Rabat.

Behind on four goals each are Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen and Egypt captain Mohamed Salah, who missed the chance to take over at the top when they played in a 0-0 draw between their sides in Saturday’s third-place playoff.
