‘Clarkson’s Farm’ Sets Season 5 Release Date

“Clarkson’s Farm,” Prime Video’s pastoral series that follows television personality Jeremy Clarkson as he gets to grips with running his Diddly Squat farm in Oxfordshire, has set a launch date for Season 5.

The popular show, which has made stars out of some of Clarkson’s farmhands such as Kaleb Cooper, will return to screens on June 3 with four episodes.

Two episodes will follow on June 10 followed by the final two on June 17.

Clarkson’s partner Lisa Hogan also features heavily in the show.

“‘Clarkson’s Farm’ is back, and amidst a government budget that sends the U.K. farming community into uproar, Jeremy decides some big changes are needed to make the farm run more smoothly,” reads the Season 5 synopsis. “But while the farm tries to go high-tech – resulting in Kaleb’s first ever trip abroad – even bigger developments are heading for Diddly Squat that are going to prove much more of a challenge.”

Jeremy Clarkson teases fans with first look at new series: 'Not long now'

Calling all Clarkson's Farm viewers! Broadcaster and author Jeremy Clarkson has teased fans with a first look at the upcoming fifth series – and viewers can't wait for it to hit Prime Video in June.

The new instalment marks the fifth chapter of Jeremy's hit documentary series, which follows his journey managing his 1,000-acre Cotswolds farm, Diddly Squat.

The show features Jeremy alongside his partner Lisa Hogan and farm manager Kaleb Cooper, as they run the farm in the English countryside, alongside their pub, The Farmer's Dog.

Judge: Trump can’t claim that entire White House ballroom project is needed for national security

A federal judge has again ordered President Donald Trump to pause construction of a massive new ballroom at the White House, rejecting the presidentâs âdisingenuousâ bid to circumvent an earlier ruling against the project by claiming that it needed to proceed for national security reasons.

The ruling Thursday from senior US District Judge Richard Leon is the latest episode in a winding legal saga around the controversial ballroom, which the judge said last month was being built unlawfully since Congress hadnât expressly approved it.

Leon, an appointee of former President George W. Bush, carved out an exception so that crews could continue working on a highly sophisticated bunker being installed under the proposed ballroom. But Trump had contended that the entire project was covered by that loophole since the aboveground structure âadvances critical national-security objectives as an integrated whole.â

Trump’s Go-To Justification for Contentious Decisions: National Security

The administration has invoked national security in a variety of matters, including the White House ballroom and offshore wind farms, drawing rebukes from some judges.

President Trump offered a surprising justification last month for forging ahead with construction of his White House ballroom: Halting the $400 million project would pose a grave threat to national security.

“Everything is drone-proof and bulletproof,” Mr. Trump said, listing the security features of a bunker being built beneath the ballroom to protect the president in the event of an emergency.

It was hardly the first time the administration had invoked national security to justify a contentious decision. Over the past year, top officials have cited similar concerns when stripping union rights from thousands of federal workers, pausing the construction of wind farms off the East Coast, and exempting oil and gas drilling in the Gulf of Mexico from protections for endangered species of whales.

Level heads needed to see bigger picture after rate hike

A warmonger in the White House is now responsible for a rate hike that will further squeeze mortgage holders and small businesses in Australia (“RBA warns recession may be unavoidable after raising rates again”, March 18). Real wage growth has flatlined. GDP per capita is currently up by an anaemic 0.9 per cent. So where are the domestic-driven inflation pressures? Reserve Bank Governor Michele Bullock points to strong employment growth but so what? The majority of employed workers are not spending big but rather struggling to make ends meet. It appears the Strait of Hormuz will be central to monetary policy for a while. Judging by the close vote to lift rates, there appear to be at least four level heads who hopefully see the bigger picture and can bring some sense to the debate (“A 5-4 vote says everything about the Reserve Bank’s dilemma”, March 18). The governor herself did not discount a recession. That means the budget, which was being touted as a “generational change” by a progressive treasurer, is now toast. There’s some ice cover around Ontario Beach Park this winter. However, First Alert Meteorologist Nate Morris says it’s unlikely that the lake will completely freeze. Here’s why.

First, we need to take a look at the total ice percentage for the Great Lakes as a whole. We’re around 44% in terms of how much ice is covering all the Great Lakes put together. As far as Lake Ontario goes, the ice coverage is around 34%. Most ice is in the shallowest part of the northeastern corner of the lake.
