Matt Corby Adds Second & Final Melbourne Date To 2026 Australian Tour

Matt Corby's upcoming 'Tragic Magic' tour has been met with incredible demand.

Matt Corby’s upcoming Tragic Magic tour has been met with incredible demand, with the soul music troubadour adding another night for especially keen fans in Melbourne.

Due to overwhelming demand for tickets, Corby’s Newcastle show immediately sold out. Tickets are also selling fast in Melbourne, with a second and final show at the Forum announced today.

Corby will present tracks from his latest album, Tragic Magic, as well as fan-favourites from across his discography, when he tours across the country this June. Joining him on all dates is special guest Gretta Ray.

Matt Corby’s heart-hurting vocal capabilities bring Daniel Merriweather to mind

Soulful brass, heart-rending strings, cymbal swells, hand claps, deft drumming, sultry bass, layered harmonies – you’ll find a song for many moods on Tragic Magic.

“I never know what’s up anymore…” – King Of Denial, the gently bopping opener, shrugs; it’s giving que sera sera.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

While coming up with Big Ideas – with its plucky bass and conversational guitar flourishes – Corby has said he pictured a “cool guy in a skivvy, slightly gyrating. But in a very respectful way,” which we now cannot unsee. Suggestion for Corby: please add a beret to this ensemble, since the song would go down a treat in a jazz club.

King shines again as Australia seal T20I series in West Indies

Australia overcame a threat from Hayley Matthews to defend 164 for the second time in three days

Alana King has continued pushing her case for a T20 World Cup berth, again playing the starring role with the ball as Australia closed out a T20I series win over the West Indies in St Vincent.

King picked up 2-25, while Hayley Matthew's 41-ball 56 was not enough as the tourists were restricted to 4-147 at Arnos Vale Stadium, securing a 17-run win and unassailable 2-0 series lead for Australia.

It followed King's 3-14 in the series opener, with leg-spin again the main weapon for Australia with Georgia Wareham (1-16) the other wicket taker.

Zoe Saldana shines at The Bluff screening in Cayman Islands

Zoe Saldaña shined at an exclusive Caribbean premiere, celebrating her latest executive production venture in the tropical paradise where The Bluff connects her family legacy to storytelling. The February 14, 2026 screening in the Cayman Islands brought together producers, directors, and industry leaders for a historic moment. This gritty pirate thriller marks another triumph for Cinestar Pictures, the production company powered by sisterhood and ambition.

Zoe Saldaña returned to the Cayman Islands not as an actress, but as an architect of the story. The executive producer traveled to this island paradise to celebrate The Bluff at a special screening alongside director Frank E. Flowers. Her presence underscored the personal investment her production company holds in this swashbuckling thriller. The Cinestar team, which she co-founded with sisters Cisely and Mariel in 2013, selected this project for its cultural significance and powerful narrative rooted in Caribbean history.

Taylor Sheridan’s Divisive 2-Part Thriller Rewrites His Best ‘Sicario’ Scene

Now that Lioness Season 2 has wrapped, Taylor Sheridan's political thriller feels even more familiar than before. While Season 1 of Lioness (then titled Special Ops: Lioness) pushed our heroes into an international terrorist plot, Season 2 brought them much closer to home. With conflicts brewing on the United States/Mexico border, tensions were higher than ever, especially since the series feels reminiscent of Sheridan's first action thriller: Sicario. But there's one scene in particular from its sophomore release that feels ripped from the 2015 crime drama, and that's the chase sequence from "Beware the Old Soldier."

As Joe McNamara (Zoe Saldaña), Kyle McMannus (Thad Luckinbill), Cody Spears (Sheridan), and their team travel across the border to rescue kidnapped U.S. Congresswoman Hernandez (Czarina Mireles), they find themselves quickly discovered by Mexican officials. As they high-tail it north to the border, Joe and her allies are pinned on every side, forcing them to make a drastic decision: drive right off a cliff and into a river that divides the countries. It's high-octane entertainment that pushes our heroine and her crew to the end of their rope and nearly kills them in the process. It also feels like something that we could have easily seen in one or both of the Sicario films, each written by Sheridan himself.

Zoe Saldana and the ‘Lioness’ Paradox: A Border Chase That Looks Like Something Else

zoe saldana is at the center of a renewed debate around Taylor Sheridan’s political thriller Lioness after Season 2 wrapped: a standout chase-and-escape sequence that feels deeply familiar to viewers who connect the series’ most intense moments to Sheridan’s earlier crime drama Sicario.

Season 2 of Lioness shifts the action closer to home, with conflicts brewing on the United States/Mexico border. The sequence drawing the most pointed comparison unfolds during “Beware the Old Soldier, ” when Joe McNamara (Zoe Saldaña), Kyle McMannus (Thad Luckinbill), Cody Spears (Taylor Sheridan), and their team cross the border to rescue kidnapped U. S. Congresswoman Hernandez (Czarina Mireles).

Was a Crazy Anti-Authoritarian Political Thriller Quietly Disappeared From Theaters?

In the annual hurly-burly that is awards season, it’s not uncommon for a lot of smaller, more modest films to fall through the cracks. There are a lot of late-year releases jockeying their way onto screens and eyeballs, and by the time the “qualifying runs” — i.e. the practice of letting a movie play in a closet in Queens for one week, so it technically qualifies to get on the Oscar shortlist — start to kick in, the competition for both industry For Your Consideration attention and public recognition becomes cutthroat. Still, you might remember catching a trailer for something called Anniversary this past October. It’s a family drama that starts at the 25th wedding anniversary of Paul and Ellen Taylor. He’s a successful restaurant owner in Baltimore. She’s a college professor at Georgetown. They have four kids, a great house, a good life squarely located in the upper part of upper-middle class.

Hawks’ Jalen Johnson joins LeBron James in ultra-rare NBA club on birthday

Hawks star Jalen Johnson is stuffing the stat sheet in ways that haven't been seen that often in NBA history.

Trae Young may have made his much-anticipated return from a knee injury on Thursday night against the Charlotte Hornets, but the Atlanta Hawks have become Jalen Johnson's team in his absence and that continued with Young still on a minutes restriction. Johnson, who turned 24 years of age on Thursday, showed out on his birthday as he tried to carry the Hawks on his back as they fought an uphill climb all night long.

Despite the Hawks' 133-126 loss to the Hornets, Johnson put up a monster stat line that made the game that close to begin with. The Hawks star put up 43 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists to go along with a steal and a block — barely missing out on what would have been his fifth-consecutive triple-double.

Ryan Rollins shines defensively in loss

Ryan Rollins made his presence felt on both ends of the floor during Friday's loss to the 76ers, racking up four steals while dishing out seven assists. He chipped in 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting, including a pair of three-pointers, and added six rebounds.

The fourth-year guard continues to demonstrate that he can maintain his production alongside the recently returned Kevin Porter Jr. The duo is co-existing effectively in the starting backcourt, alleviating concerns that Rollins' role might diminish with Porter Jr. back in the lineup.

Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo drops unprecedented truth bomb on breakout star

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo had high praise for teammate Ryan Rollins amid his hot start to the year.

The Milwaukee Bucks have been on the struggle bus of late, having lost seven games in a row before finally getting back in the win column on Saturday night with a victory over the lowly Brooklyn Nets. Giannis Antetokounmpo is back after a brief injury absence, and the hope is that Milwaukee will be able to start stacking some wins with its best player back on the floor.

The most surprising (in a good way) player for the Bucks this year has been young guard Ryan Rollins, who has quickly raced to the forefront of the Most Improved Player discussion.
