    The Olympic cyclist Rohan Dennis, who 10 months ago was given a 17-month suspended sentence after his car fatally struck his wife, has returned to social media with a post describing a Porsche as an “absolute weapon”.

    Melissa Hoskins, an acclaimed world and Olympic cyclist, died when she was struck by a car driven by her husband near their home at Medindie, in Adelaide’s inner north, in December 2023.

    Dennis pleaded guilty to committing an aggravated act likely to cause harm, but was not held criminally responsible for his wife’s death.

    An Olympic cyclist whose wife died after he hit her with a car during a fight has been criticised for a social media post describing a Porsche as a "weapon".

    Last year, Rohan Dennis received a 17-month suspended sentence over a 2023 car incident which killed Melissa Hoskins – also an Olympic cyclist – outside the couple's Adelaide home.

    A court found Dennis was not criminally responsible for his wife's death, but had disregarded her safety after he continued to drive while she clung onto the vehicle.

    South Australia's Victims' Rights Commissioner described Dennis' post as "deeply offensive" and said it showed "a clear lack of insight into the real and lasting impact" of his offending.

    X experienced a widespread outage early Monday, leaving thousands of users unable to access the social media platform.

    According to Downdetector, a website that tracks service disruptions based on user reports, complaints surged to more than 41,000 around 8:40 a.m. ET, far above the typical baseline level.

    Reports had first begun trickling in earlier in the morning, starting with about a dozen complaints before rapidly escalating.

    X Goes Down: Social Media Site Not Working for Thousands of Users Worldwide

    X, the social networking site formerly known as Twitter, is yet again suffering from technical problems preventing users from accessing the service.

    On Monday, there were nearly 43,000 user error reports as of 8:34 a.m. ET on uptime-monitoring site Downdetector.com. About 53% of the user submissions indicated the problems were with the app, with 21% citing timeline issues and the remainder saying there were website accessibility problems.

    Users encountered error messages trying to access X including one the read, “Something went wrong, but don’t fret — it’s not your fault.” Another said, “Something went wrong. Try reloading.”

    The X Developer Platform site’s incident history log on Monday did not indicate any recent.

The 29-year-old later revealed on Instagram that she had been treated for severe food poisoning, sharing a photo of herself lying on the floor of the plane, unable to move. “Very touch & go,” the post read. “Food poisoning: 1 Brooksie: 0.” Nader had been returning from a birthday vacation when she fell ill. In another image, she appeared wrapped in a blanket while someone helped her take small sips of a drink. The caption read, “The things Breaux Nader has to deal with smh.” A separate photo taken by the model showed an ambulance waiting on the tarmac outside the aircraft. She was holding a Styrofoam cup labeled “Twenty fine.” Nader later shared the ordeal on her Instagram Story, writing, “If you don’t get picked up in an ambulance when u land are you even having fun???” A short time later, she told followers she had been released from the hospital. “Made it out alive,” she posted alongside a photo of herself wearing a low-cut brown dress.

    OpenClaw’s AI assistants are now building their own social network

    The viral personal AI assistant formerly known as Clawdbot has a new name — again. After a legal challenge from Claude’s maker, Anthropic, it had briefly rebranded as Moltbot, but has now settled on OpenClaw as its new name.

    The latest name change wasn’t prompted by Anthropic, which declined to comment. But this time, Clawdbot’s original creator Peter Steinberger made sure to avoid copyright issues from the start. “I got someone to help with researching trademarks for OpenClaw and also asked OpenAI for permission just to be sure,” the Austrian developer told TechCrunch via email.

    “The lobster has molted into its final form,” Steinberger wrote in a blog post. Molting — the process through which lobsters grow — had also inspired OpenClaw’s previous name, but Steinberger confessed on X that the short-lived moniker “never grew” on him, and others agreed.
