It's the moment Spice Girls fans have been waiting for, for a long time.

The Spice Girls reunited this week (minus Mel B) for a special singalong with Victoria Beckham's musician son Cruz Beckham, 20, singing their hit Viva Forever.

Sitting at a dining table, Cruz strums on his guitar as Victoria, Melanie C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell sing the moving song.

Afterwards, in the video shared by Cruz on Instagram, Victoria can be seen hugging Mel C.

Cruz recently announced tour dates and he joked in his caption about the singalong: "I think i found my openers… you think they have potential? something exciting coming later today 😉 keep an eye out and get involved ❤️."

In-form young wildcard Taylah Preston and inspired wildcard Maddison Inglis have led the women's home hopes to their best start to an Australian Open campaign in 34 years.

Mighty victories for veteran James Duckworth and never-say-die Dane Sweeny on day three also guaranteed the bumper Australian contingent its equal-most successful opening to the Melbourne Park major this century.

But Preston's life-changing 6-3 2-6 6-3 victory over Zhang Shuai and Inglis's epic, three-hour, past-midnight 7-6 (8-6) 6-7 (9-11) 6-4 win over compatriot Kim Birrell ensured six Australian females will feature in the second round of the Open for the first time since 1992.
