    Alan Joyce says he never needs to work again – he’s happy to defend his tenure at Qantas and spend the rest of his life ‘under the radar screen’.

    Alan Joyce is in a reflective mood. The former Qantas chief executive says his ambition is sated. He is not looking to return to the top of corporate life. He has enough money never to work again. He calls this luck.

    “I don’t want to be a CEO again,” he tells The Saturday Paper. “I quite like being out of that environment … not having the stress of being a CEO every day.”
