Sky Sports F1 presenter Natalie Pinkham returns for Japanese GP after neck surgery

Fan-favourite Sky Sports Formula 1 presenter Natalie Pinkham will return to screens for this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix after being absent from the coverage for five months.

Pinkham was forced to skip the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix due to a slipped disc in her neck that was pressing against nerves affecting her left arm and her spinal cord. After undergoing surgery, the Briton took time to recover before getting the all-clear from doctors for long-haul travel.

"Hello friends… I had hoped to be on a flight to Brazil yesterday, but the last couple of months have been trickier than I expected following neck surgery; and I am not there just yet…" she updated her fans on Instagram at the time.

Sky Sports F1 star makes return at Japanese Grand Prix: 'She's back everyone'

A Sky Sports F1 reporter and pundit has been welcomed back to the paddock at the Japanese Grand Prix.

Ahead of the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix, presenter Natalie Pinkham revealed that she would not be attending the race and would miss the remaining grands prix of the year, following a 'tricky' few months recovering from neck surgery.

The 48-year-old revealed she had degenerative discs in her neck and that doctors had performed an anterior discectomy, removing her voice box which could have resulted in her losing the ability to speak.

At the dawn of the 2026 however, Pinkham shared the uplifting news that she had been cleared to travel long haul again and would resume her duties with Sky Sports at the Japanese Grand Prix.

Foxtel’s Kayo Sports increases streaming fees as Aussies set for $72 yearly hike: ‘Time to boycott’

Sports streaming platform Kayo is hiking prices for subscribers once again, with Australian premium users now asked to fork out an extra $72 a year. The price hike has been enough for some subscribers to threaten to walk away from the service altogether.

The Foxtel-owned streaming service will increase its premium tier from $40 to $45.99 per month from February 5. It follows a price hike in March last year that increased the tier, which offers two streams and 4K quality, from $35 to $40 per month.

Kayo’s standard tier, which offers one stream in HD, will change to $29.99 per month. It’s a small drop from the current $30 per month, but follows an increase from $25 to $30 in June last year.

Next month Kayo Premium subscribers will face a price rise, the second prise rise in less than twelve months.

From February 5, it will increase from $40 a month to $45.99 per month. (two concurrent streams and 4K quality).
