An employee at one of the big four accounting firms has been sacked after he and another man allegedly accessed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's personal banking account.

The men, aged 21 and 25, faced court on Tuesday over the breach which Australian Federal Police alleged occurred when the EY graduate was on secondment at the Commonwealth Bank.

Paul Issa, 21, was charged with accessing restricted data without authorisation, as well as distributing personal data.

EY sacks grads for accessing CBA account details, including PMs

Two Ernst and Young graduate employees who were on secondment at Commonwealth Bank of Australia have been sacked and one has been charged after he allegedly used the bank’s systems to access the personal banking details of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

In March, EY welcomed a new cohort of graduates, and in the months after, dozens of junior staff, including some of the new graduates, were deployed to Australia’s largest bank to consult on its technology systems.

An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that two former EY graduate employees were charged. Only one former EY employee is facing a criminal charge.

Even a record-breaking launch can’t seem to save developers from layoffs. According to a report from IGN, the various teams behind Battlefield 6 have been hit with an unspecified number of layoffs; that includes staff at EA studios Criterion, Dice, Ripple Effect, and Motive, all of which contributed to the game.

EA lays off staff across Battlefield-related studios in "alignment" move as game bleeds players — billions in revenue and record sales figures not enough to save staff from the axe

It seems that barely a day goes by without news about mass layoffs in AI or gaming companies, and today the talk is about Electronic Arts. The Battlefield series publisher is axing an undetermined number of jobs across studios related to the franchise. The cuts affect key developer Dice as well as Criterion, Ripple Effect, and Motive.

IGN first reported the story, citing an EA spokesperson's noncommittal statement that "[EA] made select changes within our Battlefield organization to better align our teams around what matters most to our community." Some would say that's a hard pill for the affected staff to swallow, considering the latest Battlefield 6 had sold an estimated 20 million copies by late 2025.

‘I loved it!’: Brontë museum staff praise racy Wuthering Heights film

Staff at Brontë Parsonage Museum in Howarth embrace Emerald Fennell’s sex-laced take, while Emily Brontë’s most recent biographer calls BDSM version ‘a lot of fun’

Emerald Fennell’s film of Wuthering Heights opens with an aroused nun observing a hanged man with an erection. Other additions to Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel include BDSM, masturbation on the moors, beds filled with eggs for erotic effect, and endless sex in the rain.

Meanwhile, characters have been omitted or conflated, key plot details altered and the entire second half of the book left out. As well as ensuring a bumpy ride for English literature students tempted to watch the movie rather than read the novel, such changes have caused consternation among a number of academics and fans of Brontë’s work.

Is this love? Don’t be Heathcliff and Cathy – what you should watch, read and play this week

Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights is a loose (very loose) adaptation of Emily Brontë’s novel. The film is, as the director has attested, the intense, “unhinged”, gothic story she remembers reading as a 14-year-old. As such, it is full of imagined passages and heightened romance and violence. It’s truly Fennellian in its excess – if you’ve seen Saltburn, her story of class envy, you know what that means (bathtub scene, grave scene, so many other scenes).

This new film version is not alone in marketing the story of star-crossed lovers as “the greatest love story of all time”. However, if you’ve ever read the book you know that it’s not really the sort of love anyone should strive for. It’s cruel and abusive. Heathcliff is not some broody prince but a violent tyrant. Cathy is spoiled and manipulative. Everyone around them suffers in the pair’s maddened need for each other. If you’re looking for love, this is perhaps not one you would want to emulate.

Duke coach Jon Scheyer details the chaotic aftermath during a court storm after a loss to North Carolina. (0:28)

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Duke coach Jon Scheyer said he had staff members "that got punched in the face" as North Carolina fans stormed the court to celebrate a late winning shot in the famed rivalry Saturday night, prompting UNC athletic director Bubba Cunningham to publicly apologize.

The 14th-ranked Tar Heels stunned the fourth-ranked Blue Devils 71-68 on Seth Trimble's 3-pointer with 0.4 left, a shot that originally appeared to come as time expired and had jubilant fans rush the court in a chaotic celebration. Officials reviewed the play and determined time was left, so fans had to be cleared for Duke to get one final play before storming the court again when the clock officially hit zero.

UNC's Caleb Wilson takes a page from Michael Jordan in stellar freshman season: 'It became personal'

Wilson is fueled by matchups against fellow Class of 2025 standouts, slights in recruiting, USA Basketball

North Carolina freshman forward Caleb Wilson has a list of about 30 names, including college freshmen he believes got the nod over him in high school and coaches who slighted him in recruiting or with USA Basketball.

It’s likely that Duke’s men’s basketball coach Jon Scheyer and heralded freshman twins, Cameron and Cayden Boozer, respectfully, are on that list.

Wilson chose North Carolina after considering scholarship offers from Kentucky and Ohio State. As for storied Duke, Wilson said that during his recruitment they “stopped talking to me.”
