    Boomers star Joe Ingles thrilled to come 'home' in coup NBL signing

    Basketball legend Joe Ingles has signed a two-year deal with NBL side Melbourne United after 12 years in the NBA.

    Ingles is a five-time Olympian and two-time bronze medallist at the Olympic Games with the Boomers.

    Boomers legend Joe Ingles has confirmed that he will return home to play for Melbourne United in the coming NBL season.

    The 38-year-old veteran wound up his 12-year NBA career this week when his Minnesota Timberwolves lost 4–2 in round two of the playoffs to the San Antonio Spurs.

    Australian basketball great Joe Ingles insists he can have an impact on court and through his leadership after signing a two-year contract to join Melbourne United.

    The veteran 203 centimetre small forward and five-time Olympian called time on his stellar 12-year NBA career after the Minnesota Timberwolves were eliminated from the play-offs at the weekend, and has now confirmed the strong speculation buzzing through the NBL over the past fortnight that he would join United.

    The Adelaide 36ers and South East Melbourne Phoenix were also in contention for his signature, but Ingles, 38, said United – on the hunt for a new coach – was the right fit.

    Warriors star misses State of Origin selection, Kiwis centre gets maiden call-up

    Warriors front rower Jackson Ford has been overlooked for New South Wales’ State of Origin opener against Queensland next week.

    Ford, 28, had been widely tipped to make his Blues debut for this year’s series opener in Sydney, after a fantastic start to the season with the Kiwi club.

    Even
    as a front rower, Ford has played 80 minutes in four out of 10 games for the Warriors, and was reportedly told by New South Wales to pack extra for last weekend’s trip to Brisbane to face the Broncos.

    However, as coach Laurie Daley named his 20 to face Queensland in game one, Ford’s name is noticeably absent.

    McLean among four Panthers named for Origin I

    Casey McLean is in the frame to make his NSW Blues debut after being named among four Panthers for the 2026 State of Origin series opener.

    The 20-year old has been selected on the NSW bench, joining Isaah Yeo, Nathan Cleary and Brian To'o in coach Laurie Daley's squad for Game One at Accor Stadium on Wednesday 27 May.

    Casey McLean has enjoyed a spectacular 2026 season, with four tries, seven try assists and an average of 146 run metres across 10 appearances for the Panthers.

    Brian To'o, the reigning Brad Fittler Medal winner, takes his usual place in the NSW squad after scoring five tries in the 2025 series.

    There are now reports that Andrew's family have filed a report at the British Embassy in Dubai, where he lives.

    A source close to Price, 47, has confirmed that he is now "officially a missing person."

    "Lee is officially a missing person now. Katie is in constant contact with his family and is desperately worried," they told The Sun.

    "And she's mortified – she's seen people calling it a stunt and that she must be in on it, but she's absolutely not.

    Addressing her fans on Saturday (16 May) about the speculations on social media, Price said, “I know there's all this speculation about Lee from when I met him. But something really, really serious has happened.”

    “The truth is Lee has been missing for three days. The last time I heard from Lee was Wednesday night at 10:00”, she said.

    Lee Andrews was reportedly due to get on a flight to arrive in the UK for an interview on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, before his “location went off”.

    Despite their split, the rep emphasized Biggs and Mollen remain on "great terms" and "remain focused" on coparenting their sons Sid, 12, and Lazlo, 8. 

    The news of the duo’s split comes six months after they last stepped out together to attend 43rd Torino Film Festival 2025 in Torin, Italy. At the time, they put on a united front, holding hands and smiling for photos.

    TOWIE star Jake Hall dies aged 35 after 'horrific accident at holiday villa'

    TOWIE star Jake Hall has been found dead with fatal head injuries at a Spanish holiday villa.

    The 35-year-old former reality star – who has a daughter with model Misse Beqiri – was found in Santa Margalida, Majorca on Wednesday morning after a night out partying.

    The designer, who was previously “stabbed” at a nightclub, is thought to have smashed his head through a glass door.

    A source told The Sun: “Witnesses told investigators he had been out partying all night and decided to carry on the party back at the place he was renting.”

    Four men and two women staying at the house are thought to have been questioned.

    Towie star Jake Hall has been found dead at a villa in Spain after a night out partying.

    The former reality show contestant, 35, was found dead with head wounds seemingly caused by shards of glass.

    Police say they are investigating the theory that he accidentally smashed his head through a glass door.

    Police have questioned four men and two women who were staying at the villa.

    There have been no arrests and an autopsy will take place in the Majorcan capital Palma.

    Spain's Civil Guard is leading the investigation. It has not released the nationalities of the other people in the villa.
