Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson’s former employer is suing the pair, demanding they pay for advertising that KIIS lost after they allegedly breached their $200 million, 10-year deals and the radio network terminated their contracts.
As well as defending Sandilands and Henderson’s contract claims against it, court files seen by this masthead show KIIS’ parent, ARN, is also pursuing the broadcasters for the legal costs of mopping up the contractual blow-up and trying to claw back most of a $3 million bonus.
The documents argue that both Sandilands and Henderson have cost KIIS advertising revenue and profits by breaching their contracts, which they had promised to cover in their original agreements with the company.
‘Systemic bullying’: Jackie O’s legal threat to radio bosses revealed
Jackie Henderson unleashed against her breakfast radio cohost Kyle Sandilands, alleging she had been systematically attacked, bullied, belittled and humiliated on-air so badly it had left her psychologically unwell.
The explosive letter Henderson sent through her lawyers to the executives at ARN Media, the owner of the Kiis FM radio network, has been revealed in detail in the company’s legal defence to Sandilands’ blockbuster $85 million lawsuit.
