    Newcastle star Sandro Tonali tipped for Juventus move by Italy legend

    Juventus legend Claudio Marchisio has tipped Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali to join Serie A giants Juventus in the future. The Azzurri star played for AC Milan before joining the Magpies in 2023 and has gone on to become an important player under Eddie Howe at St James' Park. However, he has frequently been tipped to return to his homeland later in his career.

    Tonali came through the youth ranks at Brescia before being snapped up by Serie A giants AC Milan in 2020, initially on loan before the move was made a permanent one. He won the Serie A title in 2021-22 at San Siro but left a year later, becoming the most expensive Italian footballer ever when Newcastle forked out €70 million (£61m/$83m) to take him to St James' Park.

    United States midfielder Weston McKennie is on the verge of signing a new contract with Juventus, sources have told ESPN.

    McKennie's current contract is up at the end of the season, but he is set to sign a fresh deal through to 2030 with the Serie A giants.

    McKennie, 27, has been an integral part of the team under Luciano Spalletti, who took charge in October.

    He has been used in a variety of positions this term, operating at full-back, on the wing, in central midfield and even a makeshift forward against Galatasaray.

    USMNT star Weston McKennie has, according to reports in Italy, finally agreed a new contract with Juventus. Fresh terms will bring transfer talk to the close, as the United States international has been heading towards free agency. It is claimed that the versatile midfielder’s new deal will see him become one of the top earners with Serie A heavyweights.

    Gazzetta dello Sport reports that McKennie has agreed an extension with Juve through to the summer of 2030. His previous deal was due to expire at the end of the 2025-26 campaign. Speculation regarding his future has raged for some time.

    Newcastle set Sandro Tonali asking price ahead of summer transfer war

    Sandro Tonali would be keen on a return to Italy, talkSPORT understands.

    The Newcastle midfielder is set to be at the centre of a summer transfer war with Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City all monitoring his availability.

    Juventus are also interested in Tonali and sources have indicated the ex-AC Milan star is open to going back to Serie A.

    Tonali made the move from the San Siro to St James' Park in 2023 in a £52million deal.

    And Newcastle want to get their money back and then some for the 30-cap Italy international.

    The Magpies are believed to value Tonali between £80m and £100m.

    Report Arsenal plotting surprise deadline day move for Tonali

    Various reports on the final day of the transfer window claim that Premier League leaders Arsenal are plotting a surprise move for Italy international Sandro Tonali. 

    According to reports from the likes of Florian Plettenberg, Indykalia and others, Arsenal are interested in the Newcastle United midfielder, but sealing a deal with less than 12 hours of the transfer window remaining is a difficult task. 

    Some reports claim that Tonali’s agent, Beppe Riso, is the one pushing for the Arsenal move. 

    Newcastle reportedly value the former Milan midfielder in the region of €115m (£100m). The Magpies spent a fee reported to be in the region of €70m to sign Tonali from Milan back in the summer of 2023.
