Main Card Results | UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs Vallejos

Following an entertaining preliminary card slate that featured a little bit of everything, the main card played out in a similar fashion on Saturday night at the Meta APEX.

Kevin Vallejos continued his electric run up the featherweight rankings, blowing through Josh Emmett in his first main event assignment to close out Saturday’s fight card.

The 24-year-old was on-point from the outset, picking his spots and landing clean before dropping Emmett later in the round and never allowing him to recover. While the veteran tried to protect himself and work back to his feet, Vallejos stayed on him, piling up the punishment before felling Emmett once more and earning the stoppage.

Kevin Vallejos sent a message to the featherweight division at UFC Vegas 114

UFC Vegas 114 was a really fun card, and it was capped off by Kevin Vallejos running over Josh Emmett with ease in the main event. How far can Vallejos go in a loaded UFC featherweight division, and was Saturday’s Fight Night card at the Meta APEX the best event of 2026 thus far?

Following the event, MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck and Jed Meshew react to Vallejos’ spectacular performance over Emmett, what could be next for “El Chino,” and weigh in on whether or not Emmett had his final UFC fight. Additionally, topics include Gillian Robertson’s co-main event win over Amanda Lemos and if a title shot is next, the wild Marhan Rahiki vs. Harry Hardwick and Vitor Petrino vs. Steven Asplund fights, other standout performances from the event, and much more.

UFC 326: Why the ceremonial BMF title has suddenly become a coveted commodity in UFC

The creation of the BMF title introduced a chaotic element into the world of UFC. Originally created as a one-off ceremonial title to crown the "baddest motherf—er" in the game when Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal met at UFC 244, the title is now regularly defended, including a bout between current champ Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira in the main event of UFC 326 on Saturday.

Saturday marks just the fourth BMF fight in promotional history. It began in 2019 when Diaz took on Masvidal for the inaugural belt where Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson was on hand to place the title around the winner's waist. It was not until four years later in 2023 when the title reappeared for a matchup between Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier at UFC 291, where Gaethje scored a brutal knockout win. The title was then "defended" by Gaethje against Holloway at UFC 300.

How Max Holloway legitimized the UFC's BMF title — and why it had to be him

By the breakneck pace of the UFC events calendar, the origin story of the BMF title feels almost like a piece of ancient lore. It’s from the pre-pandemic era, which basically makes it part history and part fairy tale to many fans. But those curious beginnings were also before Max Holloway got his hands on the belt and leant it some aura, of which he has plenty to spare.

The story starts like this: Once upon a time, there was a fighter who had an unshakeable hold on fans’ imaginations and a certain way with words to support it. That fighter was Nate Diaz, who went from being Nick Diaz’s little brother to a bona fide star after beating Conor McGregor on short notice in 2016.

UFC Houston video: Melquizael Costa stops Dan Ige with devastating spinning kick

The skyrocket to the top continued Saturday at UFC Fight Night 267 when Costa (26-7 MMA, 7-2 UFC) became the first man to stop Dan Ige (19-11 MMA, 11-10 UFC) with a spinning back kick and punches at 4:56 of Round 1. The bout took place at Toyota Center in Houston.

Costa beautifully timed a spinning kick to the face of Ige just after the 10-second clacker hit. Ige dipped right into it and shot backward on the canvas as he covered up. Costa pounced and pounded away until referee Jacob Montalvo stepped in.

Melquizael Costa explains how being a popsicle seller taught him not to ask for UFC White House fight

Melquizael Costa grew up selling popsicles in the streets of Porto de Moz, Brazil, before starting a career in martial arts. Now fighting in the UFC, “The Dalmatian” looks back at the lessons learned on those early days as to why he shouldn’t ask for a spot on the historic UFC White House card.

Costa is making a name for himself in the featherweight division with five straight victories in the UFC, going 4-0 in 2025 alone, and booked his first assignment for the year against ranked 145-pound veteran Dan Ige at Saturday’s UFC Houston. Costa calls the Ige fight “the people’s main event,” and a win should open the door for much bigger opportunities next.

Fight By Fight Preview | UFC Houston

There are several different ways to look at the UFC schedule —monthly, quarterly, annually; by event type, by locations, by the strength of the lineup — but no matter how you size things up, one thing is clear: cards like this one on Saturday in Houston, Texas absolutely rip!

Headlined by a crucial middleweight pairing between former champ Sean Strickland and streaking contender Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez, with a number of outstanding supporting matchups, UFC’s return to Toyota Center promises to be a rollicking good time from the first bout of the evening through to its crescendo. There are prospects and veterans, strikers and grapplers, and finishers galore, plus some athletes with ties to “The Lone Star State” that are surely going to want to give their fellow Texans something to cheer about once the leather starts flying.

    UFC Houston predictions

Sean Strickland is hanging around the middleweight title picture and could fight for it again with a big win Saturday.

Three of Strickland’s past four fights have had gold on the line, so you can be sure he’s eyeing champion Khamzat Chimaev even as he prepares to battle Anthony Hernandez in the main event of UFC Houston. Hernandez is on a stunning run of form, having won eight straight to put together the longest streak in the division. He’ll have an even stronger contender case than Strickland if he knocks off the former titleholder.

Despite—or perhaps because of—Strickland’s pervasively disgusting, ignorant, and frankly, dull public comments, he remains a favorite of the UFC matchmakers and unquestionably has a following that are eager to see him fight Chimaev. He fell to twice to Dricus du Plessis, but made easy work of Paulo Costa and his shocking upset of Israel Adesanya remains fresh in the minds of many.

UFC Houston live results: Sean Strickland vs. Anthony Hernandez updates, round-by-round scoring and highlights

Uncrowned has UFC Houston live results, round-by-round updates, start time and highlights for the Sean Strickland vs. Anthony Hernandez fight card on Saturday night at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland and red-hot contender Anthony "Fluffy" Hernandez collide in the night's five-round main event with potential title contention on the line.

Strickland (29-7) makes his return after more than a year out of the cage. The controversial American last competed in early February 2025, losing a lackluster effort against then-champion Dricus du Plessis in a failed bid to regain his UFC middleweight title. In total, Strickland, 34, has won four of his past six bouts, including his upset of Israel Adesanya to win the belt in 2023. Six of his seven most recent UFC wins have come by decision.

    UFC Houston Predictions

After a short, one-week hiatus, UFC fight week is back, which means so are the weekly predictions. This Saturday, the UFC will return to Houston, Texas, for the first time in just over four years, and they are bringing with them a 14-fight card main-evented by former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland and rising star Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez.

Outside of the main event, the rest of the main card features ranked veterans like Geoff Neal, Dan Ige, and Serghei Spivac, along with more budding talents like Melquizael Costa, Uros Medic, and Jacobe Smith.

The UFC seems to have done a good job at putting together a quality fight night card for the Houston crowd; they will get to see both high-quality fights and some local talent.

Rowe was the last fighter to weigh in and initially registered at 172 pounds, while Lebosnoyani came in at 170.5.

However, Rowe was allowed a second attempt and on his next try he successfully hit the mark at 170.5 pounds.

UFC Vegas 113 prospect to watch: Daniil Donchenko

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to “Sin City” this weekend (Sat., Feb. 7, 2026) for its first Paramount+ “Fight Night”-themed event, UFC Vegas 113, which goes down inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event, two ranked Bantamweights collide as Mario Bautista (No. 9) takes on Vinicius Oliveira (No. 11).

While the lineup is filled with intriguing matchups and rising talent, there is one prospect in particular you absolutely cannot afford to ignore.

The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Season 33 winner, Daniil Donchenko, makes his official Octagon debut this weekend after winning the reality show back in Sept. 2025 with a devastating first round knockout of Rodrigo Sezinando (watch highlights).

Prediction, pick for Alex Morono vs. Daniil Donchenko

Ryan Wohl gives his best bet for Alex Morono vs. Daniil Donchenko at tonight’s UFC Fight Night.

The final fight of tonight’s UFC Fight Night Prelims is a Welterweight bout between Alex Morono and Daniil Donchenko. Moreno is a 10-year UFC veteran and is 13-9 in the promotion. Meanwhile, Donchenko has a 13-2 record with 11 finishes at 24 years old. Donchenko knocked out Rodrigo Sezinando in the first round at Noche UFC in September 2025.

Check out my best bet for Alex Morono vs. Daniil Donchenko at tonight’s UFC Fight Night.

Donchenko has won six consecutive fights, with his last loss coming in October 2023. Throughout his career, Donchenko has been a finishing machine with 11 of his 13 wins being by knockout or submission. But now the promising prospect faces a long-time veteran in Morono. Morono has suffered three straight losses and is 2-5 in his last seven contests, and hasn’t won a fight since April 2024.
