    The 2025 Wrap-Up: 5 Of The Best Sydney Theatre Shows Of The Year

    We’re truly lucky to have such a robust theatre scene in Sydney. Whether it’s a big budget production at an iconic venue or something more intimate tucked away in a nook of the city, there’s always an interesting production happening somewhere – and I’ve been rather lucky to see a good number of them this year.

    That’s why it was so painfully difficult to create this list of what I believe are the top 5 pieces of theatre I saw throughout 2025. Though I didn’t see absolutely everything (who can?), these are my favourite productions that have stuck with me long after the lights came on. Here are my favourite theatre shows I saw in Sydney this year!

    Shania Twain Slays TikTok Trend With Reference to This 1998 Country Hit

    If you’re like us, your social media feeds are full of users waxing nostalgic about their 20s.

    It's called the "In Your 20s" challenge, and it calls on TikTok creators and Instagram users to complete the phrase, "In your 20s, there will be [insert goal / happening / opportunity here], and it's very important that you do it," while classic songs from musical greats like Billy Joel and Fleetwood Mac play in the background.

    The posts range from sweet ("In your 20s, you’ll meet a random girl at uni and click, it’s very important that you see that friendship through"), to inspirational ("In your 20s, there will be a time when someone will tell you that you can’t do something. It’s really important that you do it anyway," to just plain fun ("In your 20s there will be a photobooth you pass by with your friends. It is very important you stop and take photos").

    The wait is over for Al Nassr, as Cristiano Ronaldo's team returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 24, for an AFC Champions League Two match against Al Zawraa.

    The current leader of the Saudi Pro League has not played an official match in a month, since Nov. 26, when they defeated Istiklol 4-0 in the Champions League Two without their biggest star, Ronaldo.

    It was not until Dec. 10 that they played again in a friendly match against Al Wahda, which they won 4-2.

    Now, Al Nassr is already preparing to compete again in both the Champions League and the league, with the clear goal of maintaining the lead in the domestic tournament and continuing its good course in the continental competition.

    These five have to take flight for Atlanta to thrive today.

    Several Atlanta Falcons players have a chance to finish the 2025 season strong, which will carry ramifications fo both the team and those individual players entering the 2026 offseason. That creates a lot of intrigue for this Week 16 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Thus, I’m tasked with naming five, and only five, Falcons who are the most intriguing for Sunday’s action.

    First up is Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins, who has made a name for himself beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during his short stint as the Falcons’ starter the past two seasons. His numbers versus the Bucs are impressive, but range from ordinary to underwhelming against most of the remaining competition he’s seen as a Falcon.

    In recent years, however, the dynamic has occasionally shifted. Jordan notably caused an upset at the 2024 Asian Cup, clinching a dramatic 3-2 win in the round of 16 (January 29, 2024), before Iraq reclaimed the upper hand in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with a 1-0 victory on June 10, 2025.
