A woman in Arizona who went missing 32 years ago, when she was just 13 years old, has been found alive, authorities said this week.

Christina Marie Plante was reported missing in May 1994 from Star Valley, Arizona, after she “vanished without a trace from her community”, according to a statement released on Wednesday by the Gila county sheriff’s office.

Investigators said that she was last seen leaving her home on foot to go to the stable where her horse was, and “was not seen again”.

A 13-year-old Arizona girl who disappeared nearly 32 years ago has been found alive, the Gila County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

The disappearance of Christina Marie Plante from Star Valley, a small community in a mountainous area northeast of Phoenix, in 1994 sparked an extensive search that included volunteers, the sheriff’s office said.

Although the case went cold, it was never closed, and it was periodically re-reviewed, the sheriff’s office said. It was assigned to a cold case unit after the unit was formed.

“Utilizing advances in technology, modern investigative techniques, and detailed case review, detectives developed new leads that ultimately led to a breakthrough,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

There is a pall over the Make America Great Again, or MAGA, movement. Donald Trump overpromised. His public support has fallen. Some “America First” die-hards now openly criticize him.

Amid war, economic challenges, democratic backsliding, the Epstein files and Americans shot dead in the street by government agents, Trump’s support is softening and his vow to bring a “golden age of America” is looking more like a political winter for Trump and his MAGA movement.

It was the early spring of 2016, and a particularly busy day at Herman Caicedo's gym in Miami. There were all manner of champions, contenders and aspiring Olympians from Asia to the Americas. But the star of that session was an amateur bantamweight from Newark, New Jersey: a dimpled 18-year-old babyface — I use the term literally, as he might have shaved once, but only in the hope that it would cause something to finally grow. That would be Shakur Stevenson.

"He did 40 rounds of sparring, at least — nonstop, didn't get out of the ring," recalls Caicedo, the veteran trainer. "He did eight or 10 rounds with my champ, Juan Carlos Payano."

‘Drugged out’: Boxing star delivers low blow to world champ during fiery press conference

Typically, press conferences before mega fights bring little drama and are more of a promotional tool.

Thursday’s presser with Ring Magazine and WBO super lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez and WBC lightweight titlist Shakur Stevenson brought plenty of drama and substance ahead of Saturday’s headliner from a sold-out Madison Square Garden in New York City.

How to watch Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson: Date, timings, fight card & streaming links

Here’s how you can watch the huge world title clash from New York

The big hits keep on coming Stateside. Fresh on the heels of Saturday night's IBF lightweight world title fight between Raymond Muratalla and Andy Cruz in Las Vegas, we now head to New York for a huge card on January 31. The feature contest on the Top Rank and Matchroom co-promoted 'Ring VI' event, sees Teofimo Lopez defending his Ring and WBO world super-lightweight crowns against Shakur Stevenson.

It's been quite a couple of weeks for lightweight division devotees. Although the main belt on the table at Madison Square Garden is a super-lightweight one, the current WBC world lightweight champ, Shakur Stevenson, is making the small 5lbs step-up to challenge Lopez. That’s nothing new for the unbeaten Stevenson of course, who has reigned supreme in three different divisions (featherweight, super-featherweight and lightweight).

Despite wars, changing entry requirements and a weak dollar, Australians’ love of travel showed no sign of slowing down in the past year.

And while the so-called “Trump slump” (a decline in visitors to the US due to the president’s policies) was real, it was perhaps not as pronounced as some might have expected.

Elsewhere, some perennial favourites enjoyed huge increases in Australian visitors, hitting record numbers.

According to Australian Bureau of Statistics figures, in the 12 months to November this year Australian residents took a whopping 12.5 million overseas trips, up nearly 9 per cent on the previous year.
