    The Blues continued their resurgence under Rosenior with an important 3–2 victory over Napoli on Wednesday night, a triumph which secured automatic progression to the Champions League last 16. Attention now returns to the Premier League for a London derby with the Hammers as Chelsea look to strengthen their qualification hopes for Europe’s premier competition next term.

    Chelsea have not always convinced during Rosenior’s brief reign but confidence is high and results have improved significantly.     Why Chelsea sensation Estevao has been left out of squad for Premier League clash with West Ham

    Chelsea have suffered a blow in the build up to their Premier League clash against West Ham United with Estevao Willian having been left out of Saturday’s fixture at Stamford Bridge. The Brazil international, who has been in excellent form for the Blues, is absent from the matchday squad as the club go in search of a sixth win from their first seven games under manager Liam Rosenior.

    Estevao has been left out of the squad for the game by Rosenior for personal reasons and has flown back to Brazil, according to Dom Smith for Standard Sport. The youngster's absence will be a blow as he shone last time out in the Premier League, grabbing a goal and an assist in the win over Crystal Palace. Rosenior has rung the changes for the visit of the Hammers, with Cole Palmer back in the starting XI after an impressive cameo against Napoli. There are also starts for Liam Delap, Jorrel Hato, Benoît Badiashile, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho.

    A record-breaking third-wicket stand between Ibrahim Zadran and Darwish Rasooli has led Afghanistan to a 38-run win over West Indies in the first Twenty20 of their three-match series.

    Zadran made a career-best unbeaten 87 off 56 balls on Monday night in Dubai and Rasooli scored 84 off 59 balls as they combined in a 162-run stand in a strong total of 3-181.

    Afghanistan and West Indies will face off in a three-T20I series in the UAE, starting Monday (January 19). Here’s where you can watch the three matches live.

    Fine-tuning their preparations for the T20 World Cup, Afghanistan and West Indies will play three T20Is in Dubai, with the first match scheduled for January 19. The other two matches will be played on consecutive days on January 21 and 22. All three games of the AFG v WI series are scheduled to start at 6.30pm local time (8pm IST, 2.30pm GMT).

    While this would be Afghanistan’s final assignment before the World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, the Windies will fly to South Africa for another three-match series between January 27 and 31.     Honolulu: Authorities in New Mexico issued an arrest warrant for director and Emmy Award-winning actor Timothy Busfield to face a child sex abuse charge.

    An investigator with the Albuquerque Police Department filed a criminal complaint in support of the charge, which says a child reported that Busfield touched him inappropriately. The acts allegedly occurred on the set of The Cleaning Lady, a TV series Busfield directed and acted in.
