A woman who killed her husband told a confidant she “had enough” of his endless abuse after stabbing him to death with a tool, dismembering his corpse, and distributing it in bins around the city.

Nirmeen Noufl, 56, was charged in October 2024 with murdering her husband, Mamdouh, at their Greenacre home.

Mamdouh Noufl, 62, was reported missing by friends in July the previous year after vanishing months earlier.

Nirmeen Noufl dialled in to the Supreme Court’s King Street complex on Wednesday morning from a small, grey prison room wearing a white veil.

She was formally arraigned on a charge she murdered her husband about May 3, 2023 at Greenacre.

Sydney wife accused of butchering husband admits to killing

A woman accused of killing her husband with kitchen knives, dismembering him and disposing of his body in bin bags, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Nirmeen Noufl was due to stand trial in the NSW Supreme Court after pleading not guilty to murdering her husband in May 2023.

But the trial was delayed at the last moment and, on Wednesday, the 55-year-old pleaded guilty to manslaughter of 62-year-old Mamdouh Noufl.

She had a blank expression, sitting in a custody cell which beamed into the courtroom before pleading not guilty to murdering her husband.

A northern Tasmanian woman believes more tools are needed to prevent people from buying stolen cars.

She bought a Fiat Ducato van on Facebook Marketplace from a man who had registered it in his name, but it was owned by someone else.

A consumer group says the case shows why digital platforms like Facebook Marketplace should be included in the federal government's new scam prevention framework.

A Tasmanian woman lost $10,000 after buying a van on Facebook Marketplace

Liann Roni, a resident of the town of Port Sorell in northern Tasmania, lost about $10,000 after purchasing a Fiat Ducato van on Facebook Marketplace, which was later impounded. According to ABC News Australia, she paid $9,000 for the vehicle in April and spent an additional $1,000 on registration and modifications.

Before the purchase, Roni checked the vehicle’s registration status in Tasmania. The records showed that the van was registered to the seller, 41-year-old Michael John Bowerman, and had not been reported stolen. After a test drive, she purchased the vehicle, but, according to her, after just one trip, error messages appeared on the dashboard and the van broke down.

Tasmanian Buyer Seeks Repayment After Stolen Van Sale

According to ABC News, Port Sorell woman Leanne Roney is trying to recover $10,000 after she unknowingly bought a stolen Fiat Ducato van through Facebook Marketplace in April.

Ms Roney paid $9,000 for the van and spent another $1,000 on registration and upgrades. She said she completed a Tasmanian Vehicle Registration Check, which showed the vehicle registered in seller Michael John Bowerman’s name, before proceeding with the purchase.

Two days later, a woman from repossession company Derwent Mercantile told Ms Roney the van belonged to Asset Rental Group, which had leased it to Bowerman through a rent-to-buy arrangement. Asset Rental Group said it was aware that a vehicle repossessed from one of its customers had been illegally on-sold to a third party.

Lancashire woman seeks stem cell donor match for 'second chance at life'

A woman who was only diagnosed with a life-threatening blood disorder after getting food poisoning has said a stem cell donation would give her a "second chance at life".

Rafiya Sherin, 30, of Preston, Lancashire, was on holiday with friends in Egypt in June, when she became ill.

She says her symptoms got worse when she got home but she was told on three occasions by medics she did not need to go to hospital.

Tests later revealed she had severe aplastic anaemia, which only came to light because of the food poisoning – leaving her needing regular blood transfusions. She said a donor match would give her a "chance to live, travel, work and to do whatever I used to do that makes me who I am".

Food poisoning incident reveals Malayali woman's life-threatening condition

Rafiya Sherin, a 30-year-old Malayali woman, shifted to the UK in 2019 for her master's degree. Family of missing Toowoomba woman fears the worst

Jana Armstrong was last seen alive on Tuesday, July 7, at her home in the Toowoomba suburb of Newtown.

Police have released CCTV footage of the young mother and her baby at a cafe.

Police and SES will comb bushland on the edges of Toowoomba on the weekend as the search intensifies.

The family of a young woman missing in Toowoomba for three days say they have given up hope of finding Jana Armstrong alive.

"You won't see her walking around in public. You just won't. Hence why we're searching in bushland," sister Faith Isaacs said while cuddling her baby nephew.

Family desperate for answers as search for missing Queensland mum continues

Police have turned to the public for assistance following the “out-of-character” disappearance of a central Queensland mum last seen on Tuesday.

Jane Armstrong, 30, was last seen at her Gordon Avenue address in Newtown in Toowoomba on Tuesday afternoon.

Her white Hyundai Kona was seen on the corner of Jellicoe Street and Gordon Avenue at approximately 6am on Wednesday.

Three years after their last live-action adventure, the Transformers are headed back to the big screen. Fresh from their merger with Skydance, and probably on the verge of another with Warner Bros, the studio is pulling one of their most successful franchises out of statis lock. According to reports, Jason Fuchs will pen the script for the latest clash between the Autobots and the Decepticons. Woman who died after rope-jumping instructors failed to attach cord buried in Brazil

A woman has died in what appears to be a tragic extreme sports accident in Brazil.

Three men have been arrested over the incident, in which instructors failed to attach a rope to her before helping her jump from a bridge in São Paulo state.

Footage went viral over the weekend of Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas being carried to the edge of the abandoned bridge before being let go on Saturday. She fell 40m (130ft) and emergency services pronounced her dead at the scene.

Police are now investigating whether the men are culpable of homicide with eventual intent – when someone does not have the direct intention but assumes the risk of killing – local news site Globo reports.

Woman killed in rope jump accident after staff forget safety rope

A woman has died during a rope jump in Brazil after staff apparently forgot to attach her safety cord.

The woman, identified as 21-year-old Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, was thrown off an abandoned railway bridge in Limeira, Sao Paolo, falling 40 metres to her death.

Loose umbrella fatally strikes woman at Lake Marion restaurant, coroner says

CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) – A Huger woman died after being hit by an umbrella during storms that hit the Midlands Saturday night.

According to Clarendon County Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell, a 56-year-old woman from Huger died while eating at the Driftwood Grill, a Lake Marion restaurant, Saturday night after an umbrella got loose and hit her.

Clarendon County Sheriff Tim Baxley said the umbrella hit her in the neck, severing her carotid artery. Blackwell confirmed she died at the scene.

Officials attribute the umbrella coming loose to high winds during the Saturday night storms.

According to the coroner’s office, an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

A 56-year-old woman died after being struck in the neck by a table umbrella dislodged by wind at a South Carolina restaurant.

The woman was dining on the patio of Driftwood Grill in Summerton on 23 May with her husband when a strong and sudden wind blew the umbrella from the table, hitting her head and neck, according to the Clarendon County Coroner's Office.

First responders found the woman – identified as Dana Winger of Huger -unresponsive with a cut and were not able to revive her.

"Our hearts are with the family, friends, and loved ones affected by the tragic incident during last night's sudden severe weather event at Lake Marion," the Driftwood Grill said in a post on Facebook.

A South Carolina woman dining at a restaurant with her husband was killed Friday night after she was struck in the head and neck by a flying patio umbrella.

Authorities were called to the Driftwood Grill in Summerton, South Carolina, at around 7:40 p.m. and found the woman, identified as Dana Winger, unresponsive with a laceration wound, the Clarendon County Coroner’s Office said in a statement.

Winger and her husband were eating at the restaurant when a gust of wind blew the umbrella from a table and hit her in the head and neck area, the coroner’s office said.
