Aussie Olympian ties the knot in fairy tale Perth wedding

Australian Olympian Peter Bol has married Mahtut Yaynu, his long-time partner and the mother of their daughter.

The middle-distance runner shared a series of photos from their wedding on Monday, showing the couple hand in hand, followed by a series of portraits and ending with a blurry photograph of them dancing.

“Crossed the finish line to forever,” Mr Bol captioned the photos.

The post was flooded with comments, including from fellow high-profile Aussie Olympians such as young sprinter Gout Gout and Olympic silver medallist Jessica Hull.

Mr Bol rose to national prominence at the Tokyo Olympics, where he became the first Australian in more than 50 years to reach an Olympic men’s 800-metre final.
